It's nice SSG is giving us a Spring Festival encore; I really enjoy doing these types of events. One question though...since it wasn't announced in the events thread, anyone know how long the event will run?

Hopefully no more than a day or two, because I'm getting tired of playing Lord of the Festivals. They should be limited to six weeks total out of the year.

We old vets need to keep in mind those who come after us.
Yeah it's nice to have it back, for those that maybe didn't get chance the first time around or those who have an alt that didn't quite make it all the way through. Those who got what they already wanted, lose nothing, as they can just carry on as if the festival isn't here.
Encores are usually between 5-7 days.
Sometimes, no matter how hard you look, there is no best light.
The Spring Festival Encore runs through June 3rd, turning off at 3:00 AM Eastern (-4 GMT) on Tuesday, June 4th.
I'm an anti-festival player, don't really enjoy them. Do them once and that's about it. (That will change when they become part of the virtue XP grind),
But I know many players enjoy them so encores are fine with me. It also spreads out the population for a short time which I like, makes it a bit more immersive for me.
Personally I think they should just leave festivals up year round. They are timelocked to their location, as are many regions in the game so why not just leave them run.
This is great! I was hoping they'd do an encore as i missed some items

It's great for those of us who missed some or all of the main festival or have some general catching up to do on horses, pets, etc.

I really dont understand the nay-sayers here. If you dont want to do the festival, great, don't do it. But, what, are you saying that because you don't want to do it, then neither should anyone else?
All you Fest-haters should can-it.
A) It's optional
B) It's a way (hesistate to say easy, cuz it is a bit tedious) to acquire Anfalas Crystals. That alone should get your attention.

Please refresh my memory. Spring Festival was the one adding that ugly (in my taste) goat this year right ???
If so, then I didn't even do that nor the Anniversary this year, as there was nothing new added that I find to my personal liking. I usually enjoy Festivals, but these 2 last ones have been a bit weak in art-design on the reward choices in my personal opinion.
Still I'm happy for others who did like that goat or the outfit. I see no problems if some likes to do Festivals. Those that don't can just ignore them.
I see a bigger problem if they implement this new Virtue system and it acctually will become such a big grind as it seems (which we don't know 100% sure yet without real numbers) and they then add dailies or wrappers to gain Virtue XP/VXP to the Festivals. Basically forcing even those that do not like Festivals to still grind them for VXP to rank up virtues. That's no better than forcing those that don't like instances or raids to still play them to get the full story. Games are about having fun, or at least they should be and used to be, not about forcing anyone to play this or that style, or add grinds just to have something to monetize.
Games primarily designed to have fun in (not simply to be a store front). Anyone even rembers what that was like, he he he ???![]()
Didn't know about the encore, missed the first day, now by the end of the encore I'll be at 11/12 for the meta-quest. So upsetting. No point in participating for me.
It's no use asking Cordovan if there's a chance the encore will last a day or two longer than until June 4th. There's no point in asking for that, especially with so many people hating encores and crying out loud every time we have one as though they were forced to participate. Obviously it won't be prolonged so I'll be playing another online game instead. They are running a flashback event.
Thanks for trying, SSG. But with not enough days to complete it, it's just no fun and pointless for me.

I have trouble missing the annoying pop up quest that appears every few days during the festivals.
A big problem with the festivals is that they are the only way for many players to get Anfalas Star-lit Crystals. This is wrong. It forces them to participate whether they like it or not. There should be an in game method similar to how Anfalas Scrolls of Empowerment are acquired. As a matter of fact, the Crystals should already be on the same vendors as the Scrolls. It is, in my opinion, a direct affront to all players that they are not.
There is already an in game method to obtain crystals for barter. It's called Epic Battles. As far as I can remember, the only festival that gives a pop up quest every few days is the Anniversary. The rest have hardly any. Nobody is forced to do anything in the game. If you don't want to do the festivals, then bypass them, just like players that don't raid, bypass raids. They lose story content. You lose crystals, but you can at least still get them via another route which is inside the game via actual game play, while they have to look up You tube to try and get a glimpse of the story they are missing.
