Very cool - not just the outfit but how it fits with the character sketch. Almost Boromir-like sass and grandeur. Outfits in large parts become visual extensions of characters' personalities, change an outfit on same toon and the toon feels completely different... strange how much hinges on it.
Very true, the colors of environment really do shape perception of outfits/characters to remarkable extent. Capturing cosmetic looks becomes like painting - a more complete experience than mere screenshooting, always stories waiting to be imagined and lived.
And not just the landscape's brightness or lighting, but how it can bring out particular color palettes and make them play off the chosen setting.
Was about to ask what dye was used on the shoulder item, when I saw it was the piece's original color - that bronze is so vibrant and real!
Definitely! It’s more Boromir than the actual Boromir in the game. Although, the character models for the major characters could use some work after 12 years I think; they don’t look very great and inspiring, especially Gimli and Boromir. Gimli especially looks too much like the pub-going slob, rather than a great champion. And where’s Boromir’s shield? Our PC cosmetics have moved on so much; it would be nice to have a rework of the older outfits for the fellowship at least.
Anyway, well done on the outfit![]()
shoulders are from Dunland landscape quests,
boots and shield are from morlad area landscape quests,
the rests are bartable heavy armour pieces from Dol Amroth.
cloak is from epic quest line reward,
the swan horse is from anniversary fests,
while the grey one, covered with blue and white now is only from store.
a really nice set, thanks for your words!
tho Thannur, this lvl 99 guardian from Gondor is visiting Bree homesteads, he is a Dol Amroth Swan Knight!
i use a very beautyfull Dol Amroth light set on my obbit minstrel, i ll post some photos of him too.
promise!

Robin Hood

Location's definitely important, which is one of the bigger faults of the following pictures, but I'm wasn't sure of a close spot to get a good one, so I just ran with it lol
Here's the one I'm most proud of, spent a looong time finding pieces that meshed well together. And here's the lesser used alternative that I used while getting that one just right.

I love this outfit. Pretty colours too. Easy to hide in the woods. Those boots are one of the best soft boots in game. Really fitting ranger-like sets. Which annoys me is that they look totally different (and omg so ugly
)on female characters. Would love those boots to look on female exactly like on male chars.
Always remember that you are unique, just like everybody else.
My Rune-Keeper, Raionei, hails from Edhellond, and is more of a civilized elf than her Lothlorien or Greenwood kin. Thus her formal wear tends towards the more "coldly regal" end of the spectrum. (My graphics settings are turned way the heck up, and I still am not matching other folks in picture quality. This is beginning to annoy me.)
Costume parts as follows:
Head:Ceremonial Hat of the Stone-student, Ered Luin Blue
Shoulders: Shoulder Pads of Resolve, Ered Luin Blue
Torso: Robe of Resolve, default coloration. (No link, sorry. Robe of Solitary Thunder is pretty much identical)
Hands: Enduring Wildemore Gauntlets of Combat, Ered Luin Blue
Satchel: Reshaped Rune-Satchel of the First Age, lvl 100
Immigrant from the City of Paragon. We are heroes. This is what we do.

Giving those new expansion cosmetics some love. This outfit was inspired by thoughts of the Second Age, particularly the Last Alliance of Elves and Men and the mustering of Gondorian forces.
