    Landroval downtime

Am sad to see the server I play on down for so long and missing working on my main hunter. Hopefully this fixes what is going on as it seems to be on downtime last few weeks.

Does anyone know the reason for the downtime? Seems odd that it's only one server.

No answer yet in the earlier Landroval thread. Then again I would be slightly surprised to see one.

Cordovan's post here seems to indicate it might be related to a server upgrade. As for Landroval being the only one down, the server has likely been one of the worst when it comes to performance (whether due to player numbers or other reasons, I don't know), so maybe it was the one most in need of the help.

I'm fine with the server being the test case, as long as it improves things for gameplay.

Aye, Landy is my home server so I'm up for any improvement as the lag recently has been absolutely unbearable.

I'm usually fairly understanding, but experimenting on a production server during a limited-time festival event is not the decision I would've made.

While I agree the timing could be better, if the server completely ate itself (which is the road we seemed to be on) we might miss the Festival and who knows what else. If this keeps that from happening, I'll give them the day.

That said, I would really like a bit more info from them if the downtime is further extended.

We do apologize for the extended downtime. We are in the process of doing some server array work on Landroval, and that took quite a bit longer than anticipated.

    Thanks for the update!
Is there any chance of the festival being extended an extra day or two? I'm guessing a large percentage of us are more worried about completing the festival meta-quests than other things.

But, but what about my Hobbit Presents??

My only curiosity in all this is. Why Landy?

Yes, with the accumulated downtime, I think extended the festival at least 2 days is reasonable.

    Please.

That probably means they gave up and went home for the evening.

Get some rest, attack the problem with renewed energy in the morning.

    Landroval still showing closed?

Landroval is still showing closed. What am I missing? (Other servers are showing open and I've rebooted PC an restarted my LAN).

    Thanks!

Shows as open for me at the moment. Maybe it was down briefly when you tried? Did it work after?

    Landroval now showing UP!

I'm finally able to log on! Not sure when the problem finally cleared.
