I don't know about the notification on your end, but I currently show no unread messages in my inbox. Since everyone so far who has reported not having a notification did get their PM read by me, I am assuming that read indications are simply not working at the moment.

These two are listed as unconfirmed and when I go to the track messages folder their status is 'unread'. I didn't donate for recognition, but it feels a little disheartening that any messages of encouragement I sent might not have reached their destination.

Exactly. As I said, 'not done for recognition'. My concern is not for the goods but for the website's messaging mechanisms. I want to know that when I act supportively, show support, the support gets through and has its proper effect. Part of that process is confirmation things have been read. Having to rely on Cord+ to reassure us everything has been read makes it seem like something is 'up' with the messaging system, and places extra pressure on the poor beleaguered guy to compensate for that shortcoming of the website. Of course I am supremely grateful for all the work SSG are doing to raise money; indeed the PMs I sent address this more specifically. I'll say thanks publicly as well while I'm here: I cannot thank you enough, SSG, both for this and for the Movember campaign, which I've also been supporting.
