No Virtue XP for Deeds in new U26 region?

They cut the LP rewards a little while ago, so I am not surprised if this is working as intended. Slayer deeds used to give out 5LP for tier 1 and 10LP for tier 2. If you check the deed panel for regions that came out around level 100-105 (iirc) you'll notice its just 5LP for each tier now. In addition to this, slayer metadeeds used to award LP for completing them as well but now its nothing other some motes, marks, and virtue XP. The same is true for reputation: it used to award 5LP for Acquaintance, 10 for Friend, 15 for Ally and 20 for Kindred, making a total of 50LP per faction, but that has been reduced as well.

My guess is its all as intended, because the f2p model is no longer sustainable.

Operating under the assumption that they don't intend to add the VXP to the deeds in the new region, my opinion is its just more insidious cash-grabbing by forcing people to resort to the store to buy the VXP. LOTRO honestly hasn't felt quite like LOTRO since the P2W model started after Gondor.

IMHO, this is just bug, because they can add Advanced Slaying Deeds just without LP or without Virtue XP. BUT they just don't add them in all. Looks like something prevent it from appear. Also it reduce amount of time people spending on this location... I sure it's not what developers really want to see.

Thanks for the info. That is great news. I've an empty deed log and still a ways to go on some virtues. Weeklies alone, probably won't be enough by the time they are raised again.

Are slayer deeds indeed bugged? I killed 80 beasts, got 5lp and no advanced deed. Most of the other deeds require 160 kills, zero lps. These deeds have another tier with lp reward? or working as intended?

Just asking because I am deciding if completing the new area now or I should wait for them to fix the deeds.

So if the VXP is going to come in a lump in a week or so players won't be able to manage where it's going unless they un-slot capped virtues and select others they would like to increase else it's going to be dumped into the lowest ranked (least wanted) virtues. It's tough enough handling the VXP from a meta meta completing in game, no chance if you aren't prepared for this when the announcements come so close to the patch release.

Consider handling this with a virtue pill ala those from Hobbit Presents. Also make these stackable.

Well, from what I remember we don't get any VXP from normal slaying deeds, only from advanced deeds, what means if we kill enough mobs during questing when we get hotfix we get Advanced Slaying Deed not from zero and game remembers how many mobs we slay... and if we kill enough of them, we get new deeds completed & VXP?

It's not sustainable because SSG focused on whales rather than make interesting content that would get more casual people to pay smaller amounts on a regular basis. What they did was try to force people to pay rather than incentivize us to pay.

F2P is a model that's worked in plenty of other games.

Think about it. The area is free to everyone right now, so why would any company looking to make money from a new area allow everything to be completed. If you could complete everything while free, where is the incentive to purchase the content at a later date?

After completing all the quests in the new region, the dailies seem to be giving Motes instead of Embers of Enhancement. You people might wanna look into a change for that as well.

It makes no difference. Once a deed has started, it will still be available after the content comes off the free period. The only way SSG could reserve LP etc from deeds in a free zone, is to disable deeds completely.

On the notion of buying this quest pack. It would have to be priced very low for me to buy it. It's really small, can be done in about 5 hours, and the end rewards are very flimsy.

I'm 99.99999999...99999% sure that this questpack is going to cost 1495 LPs because they said that they are going to add a raid to it. So even if it's free right now, for people who want the raid, they'll have to purchase it.

Anyway, still waiting for an official answer for the vxp and lps, or bugged advanced deeds, for this issue.
