Quick Update: The Summer Festival has been rescheduled, and will run at the same time as the Farmer's Faire. The timing will be: 8/20/20@10am Eastern to 9/7/20@3am eastern. Exact timing subject to change, but that's where it sits currently.

Hi Cord, I'm the sort of person that loves all the festivals and I thought I'd like to mention that as sort of a header to this.
I understand new content and new events will happen ( the wedding? )
In my playstyle, and many other folks playstyle, end game content isn't where a lot of us are at. I've been playing since the november beta 2006.
I do have one level 120 character who is semi retired.
I couple others in the 100's but for the most part, I play low level characters. many of my friends do experience capped adventuring with the stone of the tortoise.
So, here is the drawn out question;
"will there be content for us!"

Hehe, after the Anniversary bonus quest in 130 content areas, Iam now worried that the Wedding event that will take my summers usuall Festivalling away for awhile, will have nothing for low level folks.
I am hoping I am wrong. I have certain characters I play on certain days that I stream, and some I only stream at festivals with.
So I am hoping I will have something to do this summer?
I don' really want to use my retired high level character for festival type events, so I am hoping that the low level folks will not be forgotten?

I am hoping the Farmer's Faire can be pushed back a little as well, like running in September along side Bilbo's Birthday and the Mariners. That way our daily grind would be a bit better spread out.

I am really crushed that there will be no summer festival during summer! Moving it at the *the end* of August just sucks! I won't be at home for a couple of weeks, since it's summer break (in Germany) and we will be in Italy for the time being. The summer festival and farmer's fair together is just the worst idea ever imho. 11 weeks without a festival ... just sucks!!! *snief* I'm really, really sad about that decision. And I really hope that the wedding will be THAT awesome!

Im sure, we would enjoy a late but whole wedding more, than late summer+fall festival and a half worked on wedding?

May be because developers thinking what festivals boring, unimportant and outdated, and want create something new.

If there's a gap in the events schedule, why not run Farmer's Faire now?

If no new content is being added then it's not a huge task to just make it active, and it could still run alongside the Summer festival later in the year, but would give people a chance to "get ahead" on Farmer's Faire quests. As far as I understand it the main reason the festivals were combined together was lack of time to do both, but if there's now a gap of several weeks...?

I'm sorry, I don't get this. Why are the summer fest and farmer's faire being combined anyway? Now you say, we don't have anything at the exact time the summer fest should be taking place. This is midsummer's day on Saturday.

Because gap in the events have 12 days, when Farmer's Faire and Summer Festival have 20 days. And looks like they aim for wedding events on 1st july, and old fashion festivals can't work in same time as wedding because of ancient coding.

Hence why I said it could still run alongside Summer fest? This would just be a bit "extra", as trying to complete FF and SF at the same time is going to be a little hectic.

Clearly the wedding is being pushed back since it was originally said it would run when Summer was previously supposed to, but now apparently we have several empty weeks.

Two updates:

To mark the passing of the great Sir Ian Holm, we've enabled the Baggins' Birthday event through June 23rd, with the event ending at 3:00 AM Eastern on June 24th. It's not much, but seemed appropriate.

We are extending the Spring Festival Encore by one day to help people get the wrapper completion. The new end date is "through June 29th", being formally shut off at 3:00 AM Eastern on June 30th.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I couldn't find anything listed about the Midsummer event and Wedding listed here. How long does the midsummer event last. I know that the book quests regarding the wedding will be available year-round.

The Midsummer Festival runs through July 20th, being turned off at 3:00 AM Eastern (-4 GMT) on Tuesday, July 21st. I will get it added to the schedule today.

This is barely long enough to do the dailies. The text says to “plan accordingly,” but that’s pretty difficult to pull off 20 days of wrapper quests in a 21 day festival, especially factoring in holidays and downtime. Can you extend it please?
