Another festival extension past the 26th

With the meta-deed requiring 5 days per tier instead of the intended 4, the festival was already extended to the 26th.... but with the downtime of the last 2 days many already lost out on doing their festival quests on both Wednesday and Thursday.

With new downtimes now seemingly to be happening, many across the world (it is prime time in EU right now) will lose yet another day, and may not be able to complete the meta deed if they are after this. I would request the midsummer festival be extended to the 28th now, to cover lost time from all the downtimes.

Cordovan, is this something you can investigate?

I absolutely agree- there should really be an extension here

I remember this happened some time before, a few months ago.

It's not surprising that it would be more complicated / complex to fix whatever the issues are in our present "new normal"; so, I'm patient with them. At the same time, extending the Midsummer out would really be good here to make-up for missing days

They should make all content free until August 31. Oh, wait.

Yes please!!! I really need an extension at this point. I only had one more quest to finish today to get my 10 and now I've lost that chance

At this point, its not even about the "meta-quests," though of course, yeah, they extended once for it, they should extend again given the situation. It's simply about having days to earn more tokens and buy more stuff!!! So, that's why it should be extended, as far as I'm concerned

As far as naysayers go: No one is asking you to play the festival; to each their own, let those who want to do it do it, and those who don't, don't.

For those who do like it, extend please. It has everything to do with fairness: when a company advertises an event to be open a certain number of days, and then it is not due to technical issues, said event needs to be extended to fulfill the number of days offered as advertised. Plain and simple

I don't really need an extension, but I would very much want one anyway. I really enjoy the new quests and the festival area, and the fact that the steeds won't be removed has taken away all the stress and grind for me so I have been having a great time with the questing and was hoping to have more time to do it The downtime is taking away a few days of fun for us party people, so it would be much appreciated if we could get one more extension if it's possible

    I'd appreciate another extension, too.

I also need to report I need an extension I have lost 2 days of access at this point with probably a 3rd day tomorrow. I am currently at 11/20 on the wrapper quest so need 9 days to finish the whole thing. In looking at schedule of events they could extend it to Monday August 3rd and that would still give us a festival break for when Summer Festival & Farmer's Faire start on August 20th.

When they shutoff the Midsummer Festival it will only impact the festival barters and quests. Minas Tirith (Midsummer) Area and the great wedding epic quests will still be available year round. So no worries about getting your trait points.

I hope so as well, the festival is far too repetitive and grindy for my tastes but I do still hope to get a couple rewards from it if the servers come back up in time.

Has SSG said if they will be compensating our lost days of VIP? Any mithril coins or lotro points?

Not yet, but this seems likely. Took a few days after the last downtime before they got internal approval and some dev coded in the rewards, and another week or so for them to be actually delivered....

Most VIP subscribers on Arkenstone have barely been able to play for what is going in to day 7 now, and its been at least 5 days on many other servers. Anor and Ithil however have remained up, as well as the French server, so it wasn't a total downtime, but i'd guess 90% of players were affected, and the other 10% have had to deal with a portion of the 90% coming on to their servers slowing it down and whining about it.

So yeah, I think this more or less counts as a total downtime for everyone, and some sort of VIP extension is likely coming, along with probably some lotro points and other goodies.

And likely some dwarf candles for the f2p people.

I'll add to those asking for an extension. I'm an Arkenstone player, and we were the first to go down and we'll be the last to come up. I was just starting to get into the Midsummer Festival when the server went down, and I haven't been able to get on since. While I certainly understand if an extension isn't possible, I loved the small glimpse of the festival that I got and would love to have time to actually explore it.

Yes, we will likely extend the festival once everything settles down, and will announce an extension in the near future.

While I'm done with the festival an extension will be welcome due to the wedding gifts. My second account, although played every day since the festival started, still has not received even one.

On a separate note, I didn't get my gold present on the 19th and when I was able to finally log in yesterday it was no longer there.
