From looking at post number one, it looks like the curator is usually present about 11 to 13 days or so? I'm just making sure so I can manage my figments properly.

I REALLY hate that 10k limit, it's giving me problems.

She got 2 more items, pet harness and hitching post. Since all the others get updated and she is never alone + has so much stuff already I don't see the need to add more.

But we should all wait until you have gotten all you want to barter before we give the nod to the devs/artists that it's ok and they can make some more stuff?

Some of us don't want everything on offer because we have already chosen the items that appeal to us. We discern what makes a "good" purchase for us and hope the next visit will have some new options to weigh up. Until then I have to buy 3,500 figment housing items for a 600 figment return waiting for you (and SSG) to catch up?

That is not what I said. The Curator has lately been with another figment vendor who has new items. What makes you think she'll have items you like? There is a lot I bought from Rowan but barely anything from Filbert because I like what she has but not what he had. The reason players ask for the Curator to come back is that she already has a lot of items they want. Myrtle imo is the worst.

The problem really is the figment cap not the items on the vendor. I might have a lot of figments/motes/embers depending on how active I'm in end game or in the festivals. Lots of times I have to spend on items I don't really want as well. I don't do much spring and fall festivals and anniversary just doesn't have enough quests. So for a barter with "like items" to be there at these festivals is like mocking me because I wont have the currency to buy. And then the barter with "don't like" show up the festivals I run plenty of alts through the wrappers, same feeling. Remove the cap and we can spend on what we want.

I'm sorry if I'm missing something obvious, but aren't the two items you quoted barterable for 3,500 figments and only decon to 600? Are you suggesting there is another way to get those items and decon them for figments? If so, can you explain how to acquire those items outside of the figments vendor? Thanks!

Yup it's a poor return on investment. The same with coffer gear at 2500 embers and a 400 return. I'd rather that, than the "You have earned 0 <insert capped currency of choice here>". beats storing these 100 ember decons from MM instances or the 200s from elsewhere.

You could acquire these and other products we see on the figment vendors by buying keys and opening loot boxes but that is a hugely random affair and ill-thought out. What state the dev diary on loot box now I wonder? Could farm a few bound to char keys with a reroll to 20 but again, it's loot boxes for heaven's sake.

Oh yes indeed it would take a really petty minded officious individual to remove these items from the decon or alter the value returned but they'd have to be able to handle the scorn of the player base and the un-acknowledged contempt of their better colleagues. But ofc Cord would be pushed out above the parapet to postulate a fantastical reasoning for it, to give the base a hook to cling to, as they slink back into the shadows.

I'm happy to make this modicum of a push back known to help the victims/hostages of the schemes of such people. If they choose to once again to push back (or double down - Valar 75%/Virtue 97.5%) they only expose themselves for what they are. One day SSG might actually notice and buck up. It's not my idea. Loads of people will be discovering all the push backs before me. They'll keep them between friends most likely. With SSG's blinkered view and faith in "metrics" they aren't to know.

Actually, you will see her much sooner than you think:

While I don't have more specific dates to give you today, the current plan is to replace Filbert Fig with Rowan Raspberry (with some additional cosmetic options) in June-ish. Rowan Raspberry will be replaced by Myrtle Mint (with some additional cosmetic options) in November-ish. Nothing to announce today about The Curator, but we are talking about it.

I'm just mad that they make it so random. Long time absence, boom they make her reappear.. and then boom make it only a week. It's depressing how they treat us with stuff like that.

Us hostages just have to hope some warmth comes through the radiator we are chained to once in a while. It's the times we hear the knocking of the plumbing but nothing comes through that gets to me.

Yeah, in fact I was READY to buy something but had to do something else irl and by the time I made it back in-game, there was a very slow load-in, and it was a few mins after the "server-time" shifted to the following day; she was gone...

I really urge SSG to just publish on the Events forum when Curator is scheduled to appear and to leave. Please. Very few of us find the random aspect of her appearance / disappearance exciting or surprising. More of the opposite effect: annoying and absurd. Further, why not just tie her directly to a Festival? Just make her a Festival feature like the Ale Association and Inn League; have her appear at festival launch and leave when the festival ends.

Oh well. In the immortal words of Kurt Vonnegut, "So it goes..." I still got some stuff before she vanished; to me it was annoying, but to many other players who save up and then can't spend because she vanishes, really not fair to them at all.

Please, please, please SSG: All we ask is that the Curator's arrival and departure make sense like everything else in that festival / fluff category. We know when sales start and when they end. We know when festivals start and when they end. We know when special VIP events start and when they end. Why not throw in the Curator to just have a consistent schedule when she appears and when she leaves? Please consider this. Thank you
