Someone on the Forums has pointed out that currently Essence Reclamation Scrolls can be used to unslot your Traceries, that's not in the Guide here because I wasn't aware that is something we are intending to do. I've heard from Raninia on that, that what we're going to be doing is introducing a new Item that essentially works like the Essence Reclamation Scroll but it is currently working as intended actually that you be able to use Essence Reclamation Scrolls in addition to Mithril as a way to unslot your Traceries if you want to. Now I actually think most people aren't going to want to, for the most part you are just gonna to want to overwrite your Traceries with better Traceries that you get but if you have maybe a bunch of Alts for example you may have some benefit in unslotting your Traceries and doing it that way. So that's going to be an option for you however."

No one expects us to be one and done it's a big System that has tendrils throughout the game and while we are working to get as much of that in place as we can for Update 30.3 I think the clear reality is we are going to miss something and then further work is going to need to be done on things like LI Bridles and Conversion of old ingredients, that sort of thing.   • Cordovan Answer: "You don't have to, it is true that brand new LI is only going to get you so much under 30.3 but it will get you something. So there is really no need to wait, that said we are only a couple weeks away so I guess it depends on how far away you are to getting your first Legendary Item. It might not hurt just to wait if you wanted to but at the same time you could Convert as well if you wish. I think either option is fine based really on how close you are to completing and playing that content but I don't think I would feel the need to complete that Content."

  • Cordovan Answer: "Not after Update 30.3 is Live, there might be some minor updating you can do to your Old Legendary Item when Update 30.3 is Live but you will not be able to Reforge it. So whatever you can do up to needing to Reforge it you will largely I believe still be able to do but the intention is that System will be dead in 2 weeks here so you know. You'll be able to keep equipping them like we say in the Guide here but you'll be able to equip your existing Old Legendary Items, you cannot however have a Old and a New Item at the same time. That's to do with property stacking, additionally updating your Old Legendary Items will not be possible once you do go through with the Conversion process."

  • Cordovan Answer: "My guess is that would be a little bit of a physics and animation challenge to make that work in a way that really worked. I mean it's a cool idea, I could just imagine it's just gonna be poking through the ground a whole bunch and what have you if we were to try to do it and I'm not sure you'd find that perfect spot where you wouldn't run into an issue."

If we need to address that particular Vendor in a way that is not being addressed with the release of Update 30.3 then presumably that is something we can do in the near future. It doesn't seem likely that we would, delete, I don't think we're deleting much of anything in terms of where you got old stuff. If we need to do some additional work we can but for the most part the plan is to largely, places that you are getting LI stuff you will continue to get LI stuff."

• Cordovan Comment: "I've seen some comments about concerns about having to hoard Cosmetic looks that might be going away because there are so many Cosmetic looks in the LI System and not all of them are going to be immediate used upon launch. There all going to be coming though I wouldn't be hoard anything but do what you want. Any Cosmetic that has value to Players will undoubtedly be coming back in the future, because why not right?"

• Cordovan Comment: "What makes you skeptical about the Cosmetics is that there is a number of nice ones in the Database already with no way to get them. I would love to see a list of which ones those are and pass them along to the Team. I mean the thing about a game that is as veteran as LOTRO is that eventually things get lost in the shuffle sometimes, get rediscovered and reused and it sounds like we have some opportunity there so perhaps its something we can look at in the future but having a list of specifically what those Item names are would probably be the easiest way to reuse them. The LI stuff you know, it's pretty obvious what we have and don't have but for historical items that maybe no longer are around it would be cool to look those up by Item name and perhaps see if there is an opportunity to reuse them in the future."

I had one thing I wanted to follow up with Scenario on today and that is the status of the Housing Hook Consolidation, I think that is set for Update 31 but I need to double check on that because I haven't really heard anything about the Housing Hook Consolidation in recent weeks as all the conversation has been about Brawler and Legendary Items."

    • Note: You don't receive an in-game mail once purchasing the Fate of Gundabad Expansion, the Player Account will receive an E-Mail on the provided email said Player Account uses to confirm the Purchase of the Fate of Gundabad Expansion.
      
      
    • If you are logged in while Purchasing any Expansion, it is best to Log Out & Exit the Game, relog in to receive said Bundle you purchase.

  • Cordovan Answer: "I don't know that I feel so strongly that you should go out of your way to max out an LI between now and the release of Update 30.3 if you were not already going to be working to max out an LI between now and Update 30.3 anyway. I think what you are looking at is on the Forums, I had said something about we're not looking to try to encourage Min/Maxing or you know kinda Gaming the System for absolute tweaking the best benefit and I know some people wanna do that anyway and that's fine but my advice is to what you should be doing is to do what you are normally doing and don't worry about it."
    
    
  • Cordovan Answer: "However, since a lot of Old LIs will no longer be able to be updated upon the release of Update 30.3 if that is a concern to you then yeah, you would want to get some work done on your LIs between now and then. And in terms of the stockpiling of Shards, Empowerment Scrolls, that sort of thing, yeah I would not trash them. In general I don't believe in trashing much of anything but I know that with Inventory being what it is you may have a desire to but at the very least you don't want to do that yet, at least what for the Conversion System to come out."

  • Cordovan Answer: "We did, we did, we posted about it on the Forums, put it in the Launcher and a bunch of things like that but yes, we did in fact actually announce that and the reason that we announced that is because what it was we force reset the passwords for people who had not updated their password in 7 years, 8 years, something like that. So if you had not updated your password in that length of time as an Account Security based on best practices for people who know such things we did force resets on people who had not changed their passwords in like a decade because you shouldn't be using the same password for 10 years on any game account, email or anything ever."

LOTRO Producer Raninia did comment on EU Servers to Host LOTRO back during the July 2021 Louey7 Interview that while it's not off the table there is an ongoing conversation as of back in July 2021 for seeing if EU Servers could happen and an area where EG7 might be of help due to being located in the EU.

As far as I could find after searching for nearly 2 hours there is nothing stated about this by SSG since July 2021 with any other comments on EU Servers to Host LOTRO since July 2021 but I admit that the LOTRO Forums isn't always perfect when trying to find specific posts and based on how Cordovan stated his response it doesn't seem like LOTRO Producer Raninia and Cordovan had talked on such.

If SSG could talk about this and provide a definitive answer on this topic would be appreciated.

That was in answer to my question. I wanted to know if there were going to, possibly, be any kind of recipes related to the new LI system for crafting guilds in the future. I probably could have worded it a bit better than I did. As it stands, at least for now, Guild crafting is being gutted. There doesn't seem to be anything in place to take the place of Legendary Item and Relic crafting. I'm kinda hoping that there will at least be some unique traceries we could craft on down the line. No time soon, I'm sure 'cause they kinda have their plate full.

Crafting guilds need attention...

Crafted LIs start at Level 60-65 (supreme tier) and is available with artisan of the crafting guild and it also has crafted relics.
Each tier beyond that point also has crafted relics and third age, second age and first age LI recipes.

What is going to happen with those recipes, the quests that reward the pages for crafted relics, quests that reward sealed/fused relics, quests that reward rusted dwarf tools/khuzdul tablets?
What's going to happen with the various Celebrimbor and Elder King symbols? What's going to happen to the special cook drinks that give LI exp boosts?
What's going to happen with the quests that offer LI titles in Echad Dunnan, Dolven-view, Galtrev, Hytbold, etc?

Bringing back the old EC,OC to their original locations would be the preference. Ditching the Delving doors in those camps and removing the invisible wall barriers as well.

I hope they go back to their old positions. i dont think it will fix all of the problems the moors has right now, but if it can serve as a slightly safe spot away from the back doors and one-shots, then that will be more than they are doing right now. Currently they only server as a place for people to do a little bit of pve.

Oh, also please disable back doors in combat like you did with the TA back door(only going from the keep to outside, for some reason).

Just to confirm, yes on Monday all the US AND EU servers will move to the same datacenter in New Jersey. Further move dates are still to be determined. Due to contractual obligations and logistics it was a safer call to do it this way and then re-evaluate once more data is gathered.

Couple of followups:

- On the Elf and Orc Camp placement, we will be looking into moving their placement.
- We have no plans to bring server infrastructure to Europe at this time.

I don’t care where you move them or if you move them, so long as you let us keep our gv camp. Who wants roaming small group/solo action anyway when you can have all your fights at gv except for a couple of hours twice a week (if a freep leader shows up) for RvR?
