This week's event is a brand new one: A Geode Boost! It significantly increases the number of geodes that spawn in their relevant places. I will also be working this week to get the calendar updated for much of the year.

Geode Boost: 1/6/22 10:00 AM Eastern until 3:00 AM Eastern on 1/10/22.

Will there be a tripple slayer boost event in 2022? Really need that to finish those deeds.

This is good to read. I was just about to ask when we would get an updated event calendar, now that most of the stuff on the old calendar is done and away with (the exception being the 14th anniversary gift which will still be available until April 1st).
There's some good in this world, and it is worth fighting for.

All right, the calendar is now updated for the first pass of 2022! Expect a few changes and additions here and there, but this is a good outline of the year. Have fun!

I think this is more that this was the first time we've run it, so we're seeing how it went before scheduling it again. I'm sure there will be additions throughout the year.

Personally, I loved it. We had some very active players and lots of fun chatting with each other while farming them. I hope the internal metrics reflect this and that it makes a return soon. Preferably near U32's launch to help returning players get their pocket to assist in prep for the new raid that will have dropped which they will have likely returned for.

It would be nice if it had a buff icon to indicate the event though.

No skirmish event this year? That's a big letdown. Why are you cancelling it?

Not canceled. Postponed. Every year people complain about the event and things only escalated when they added the portents. They want to re-evaluate the event before adding it to the schedule. I'd much rather have an event with something new added than the same event with nothing new. Then again, other people might feel differently.

I liked the Ill Omens event, but felt it needed a reduction in the grind, especially when the rewards were so good (and arguably even essential for a period, when we needed every extra bit of DPS, etc. we could get). A rethink or redesign makes sense, and maybe this can be made into a less grindy event that can run twice a year (giving players who missed out another chance).

No. This started last year. You can check out the community thread here: https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthr...71#post8084271. As shown in the schedule, it lasted a total of 5 days and offered some interesting rewards.

Despite being a regular February/March event for the last few years, Ill Omens isn't scheduled at all for 2022. I missed the end of the event last year and never got to cash in my Portents, so I'd been waiting for it.

Is there any chance the barter for it could be reactivated for a few days? Even if there's no new rewards so the Portents are max level 135, it would still be useful to get lower level ones for alts before any changes to the event render them worthless compared to the old versions.

They knew they were too powerful items so they cancel this event

Has anyone of those who chanted about "too powerfu items" actually used them? -No. Because these items were not powerful at all and became outdated even faster.

There were other reasons to postpone the event.
