Unable to reforge LIs at level 134

I put in a Help ticket explaining the problem:

My hunter obtained legendary items under the new system. Reforged to level 130. Then did the Azanulbizar quests and leveled up to 134. Then I decided it was past time to reforge the legendary items (bow, club) again. The forge-master in Annak-khurfu does not give my hunter the option to reforge. I have reforged legendaries on my other toons (at 132, 133, 134) with no problem.


Got a reply that,

Your request (215017) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff.

The point is not to complain (although the problem has not been resolved) but to see if anyone else has experienced this. No idea why *this* toon could not reforge at level 134 when at least one other toon also waited a few levels before reforgning. Feel free to laugh at me, did not want to spend 30-32g to reforge again with each new level. And I have plenty of gold.

The Reforge Points for you are Level 131 and 136.

If say Item Level 499 isn't added by the time you are Level 136, you'll have further chances to Reforge at Level 140 for example.

Your tooltips on those toons may state/have stated "minimum level 132/3/4", but that's just to show the level your character was at when you chose to reforge. A lvl 138 LI was reforged at 138 but given values of 136.

Why would you get new reforges at levels 132,133,134? What about 88,87,89? Do you expect the devs to code 95 reforges from 45-140?

There is no 130 reforge per se nor is there, as you put it, a reforge "with each new level". In this level range, the reforge opportunities come up every 5 levels, on the 1s and 6s. So, if your first reforge after getting your LIs was at 130, then that was a "late" level 126 reforge. The next reforge opportunity is then 131 -- you should be able to reforge any level after that, through 135, and get the same stats. Then 136 is the final reforge; again, at 136 or any level after that, through 140, won't make any difference to the ultimate stats.

The real question to ask is: what are the stats on your LIs? According to the table on the wiki, one-handed DPS in the 131-135 level range should be 4,019.7, and ranged DPS 5,627.6. The "item level" -- which I believe also corresponds to the maximum enhancement level -- is 465. At the 136 reforge, the DPS will go up, and the enhancement limit rises to 475.

If the stats are what they should be, does it really matter whether a reforge is or not offered by an NPC?
