It's good to hear that this has attention and is being worked on. Unfortunately my wife and I will still have to continue boycotting the lotro store until our promised items have been restored. The disappointment of not having our extra bag space and boosts has killed the joy of the celebration for us, as my wife continues to refuse to even log on. I sincerely hope this is made right.

talk about disappointment! i don't blame you

my wife bought all the past expansions' collectors editions. And now? she got nothing in the 15 year celebration!! talk about unfair.
so the folks that forked out the most got goodies and those that did not fork out much also got goodies.
but if you just went the middle road all these years you get the middle finger from a company unable to keep stable servers while rolling out new content

this celebration has left a sour taste in our mouths in our household

I really want an official reply to on this issue as i think it is unfair and bad way to treat paying customers

another point a little off topic

imagine the surprise of all the new players that get their refunded Valar packages, level boost their favourite toon only to find that the quest givers in new region they teleported to all have coins above their head

time will tell if they stay and play the game or just say good riddins and never look back

Same here Brohiem, my wife used to play lotro back in the day, and was going to start playing again until she saw what happened on the 20th with the disappearing rewards. I was prepared to buy the journeyman riding skill in the store, but have lost interest until they make right with all the missing rewards. Heres hoping they truely make things right.

What VIP rewards are you missing? It looks like the rewards that are missing specifically due to the 20th login issue are not tied to VIP.

Really not even sure what all is missing, there is just so much confusion with this whole mess, I know the 105 and 120 Valar are missing and the expedition boxes or something like that, you are probably right on the VIP thing, I thought there was something tied to VIP though besides the cloak etc. my bad then.

Seems like they should have made a special package, like an exclusive mount/cloak/title, for those loyal enough to have already purchased those collector boxes. Something to show love to their already paying player base during the 15 year celebration.

Could the account database for those who rushed in have the three Collectors references and whatever other flags were set preventing later redemption be dropped and reapplied post anniversary if not reapplied by log ins in the interim? If that dataset is achievable ofc.

EDIT: Scratch that, will reward collectors that logged in not prior collectors who didn't.

    Needs more thinking...

    /ponder

P.S. Seems like they do have the dataset and are repackaging the goodies for collectors too

I bought the "Ultimate" version of Mordor, Minas Morgul, War of Three Peaks, and Gundabad, and got to enjoy all that content from the day it was released..... I am not one bit upset that I now got stuff I already got (like the boar, armor, etc) because I already enjoyed all of that content for what has been YEARS now..... While it would be nice to receive something special, I am not one bit upset that bunches of people now get it for free. I still got some Valars out of it, and a bunch of VIP items and various other bonus items, so I am quite happy.

What needs to be fixed - obviously - is that everyone gets what they are supposed to get, and it looks like they may do a patch this week to rectify that..... other than that, I don't really see why anyone who had already bought the expansions in the past would really be upset about it, unless they purchased them in the last 2 months or so, right before the announcement that things would become free.

    Per Cordovan under the Announcements:

"Players who previously purchased the Mordor, Minas Morgul, and/or War of Three Peaks Collector's Editions, or who received the 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition once-per-account log in gifts prior to a server rollback on Wednesday, April 20th will receive their missing items on Wednesday, April 27th after the worlds reopen following a game update.

The character that receives the items will be the first character to log in after our worlds reopen on April 27th. In order to receive a Valar a character must possess the Novice character trait. The Valar will deliver to the first eligible character logged into after our April 27th downtime. The Collector's Edition once-per-account items include: Aria of the Valar Package, Valar Level Boost Package - 120, Improved Expedition Supplies, Small Crafting Carry-all, and Three Peaks Collector's Supplies."

And what of those of us who DID NOT log in till the 21st and are missing those items?

My lifetime acct did not receive: Valar Level Boost Package - 120, Improved Expedition Supplies, Small Crafting Carry-all, and Minas Morgul Collector's Supplies.

Whatever happens is fine, just wanting to know what to expect.

    Great news!

Thanks for being on top of this, SSG. Assuming everything goes well.

Reminder: DO NOT OPEN the valar "boxes" unless you want to valar THAT CHARACTER. They will be bound to account but you can mail them or put in shared storage for other characters to use. Once you open them on a character you do NOT want to valar, you are um, for lack of better words, screwed. I know of one person that opened all 3 by accident on the same character and has put in a ticket. Good luck with that.

What might be considered an odd question about the Valars:

I have never wanted to use one, they make you skip all the parts of the game I love, right to the parts I don't.

So, here I sit with these wonderful gifted Valars I don't want. Is there any way you, SSG, can help me re-gift them?
Not sell, I have more gold than I can spend already, but if you could transfer them to someone, maybe have a
lottery or something? I have 2 accounts, and got them on both.

Just stash them in your bank vault until an alt reaches the the max level that you can still use them, then pop the box. Gain one level at most, full set of gear and most important a box full of Virtue XP

Use them at 49, 94, 104 and at 120 and 130 (as many times as you like) if you abhor level boosts. You wouldn't impose these dangerous things into the hands of someone least able to use it in a lottery, would you? And have them in your (or another's) fellow without much of a clue how to play their class?

If you bought Collectors of any of the three then it suggests you will get what you've missed out on. Have none of them, just standard, on my main account and got all I expected on the 21st first log in to patch. So long as SSG have figured out all the various permutations during the week.

Yes, but his post indicates that is for those who logged in before the server rollback. Some of us never logged in at all until after the extended downtime but were missing items the next day anyway when servers came back. Was hoping he might clarify that aspect or does the fix truly encompass everyone, regardless of whether they logged in before rollback or not.

I have a weird situation where delived items were split between 2 different servers
and I don't even think (can't remember) that I logged in on the day of the troubles.

    Gladden server:
Alt 01 has: Aria of the Valar Package , Valar Level Boost Package - 120 , Mail Notification of delivery of Morder items

    Sirrannon server:
Alt02 has: Improved Expedition Supplies , Three Peaks Collector's Supplies , Small Crafting Carry-all
Alt03 has: 15-Year Celebration Login Gifts

The alts on Sirrannon are/were level 1 so there's no way they could've mailed the items (F2Play account)
as there is no mailbox in Archet Intro area and the alt on Gladden was probably the first logged into
as he has the Morder mail notification. Just weird!!!

I will prob open a ticket after tommorow's (27th) patch.

I think it's to do with an intent to reward all but whoever selects what to deliver doesn't appreciate the tech in play that prevents the same things getting through if they've already been purchased. The distinction in Cordovan post is that there's some "and/or" and "or" going on to widen things out a bit. Clarification requires understanding and it may have just been passed along to us from another source. The technical minds coming late to the process?

This is what i did..... I am still planning to go through ALL content, but by using the level 50, 105, 120, and 130 valars in a row, I ended up with a whopping 137 trait points, and I can only spend 98.....

At least that toon is ready for the future!

Also, doing it that way gives you enough virtue experience to virtually max out every virtue to 75. I stopped a few at 73/74 because applying another 10k virtue exp item would be a waste, and I knew that by just running content I would just max them out naturally.
