Please tell me there will be more body sliders in the future.

I have no issues with the beards that seem to be the biggest point of contention, nor do I care about skin colour. I am not posting to start a debate about it when there is already a huge thread going on.
I like the extra facial construction options, I can tweak my characters to be more unique.

    BUT

You changed the body shapes of all my human characters, shapes that I was happy with and comfortable with, some of these characters go back to 2008 and they are the way I want them.

I logged in today and all my human girls are so messed up.
How they appear on the character screen is completely different once ingame. The new all-in-one body slider does not allow me to recreate the way that they looked before the update. My Brawler in particular has been completely ruined.

Please tell me there will be additional body shaping sliders added in the near (or at least mid-term) future. If you want to give people options we need separate sliders for major body areas, shoulders, arms, waist, hips upper and lower legs.

I did not want to make any changes to any of my characters nor did I ask you, @SSG, to change them against my will. It feels really off and I am really disappointed in this update. I feel like all those characters I have spent so much time with are not the same people anymore. From an RP perspective alone, this is terrible.

i agree, only having one body slider makes it hard to fine-tune the look we want. having separate sliders for torso, waist and hips/thighs would be so much better.

also, correct me if i'm wrong but did they make our shoulders wider? i seem to recall my skinny (all the way left on the slider) toon having narrower shoulders.

For a while I've been saying they need two sliders: muscle and weight. It's totally weird that hobbits and dwarves can either be fat with toothpick arms, or skinny with muscle-man arms.

Since the slider mechanic is already in place for muscled arms/chest and gut/waist/thigh size, just give us sliders for each so we can create more natural shapes.

All the way left isn't what it used to be. I've found to get the shape closest to what it was pre-patch, its about 20% from the left.
Sometimes, no matter how hard you look, there is no best light.

Apologies for not keeping up with the conversation, been unwell.

That is about the closest I have been able to get as well, about 20-30% from the left (I honestly think it is bugged) but my brawler is still ruined. She has lost all her femininity and I can't get it back. She was a nicely balanced, fit and good-looking character. She has lost all her hips, and her bum (and I say this as she wore fairly tight clothing as she is a fighter and doesn't need loose flappy clothing hindering her) has gone from shapely to looking like she is wearing nappies under her pants. And her favourite pants (one from the skirmish cosmetic vendor, ceremonial thrill seekers I think) has a hideous glitch on the inside of her left thigh so that it looks like she has broken bones poking out of it. I have had to change her outfit and it really no longer suits the character I have been RP'ing with.

Facially, with the new sliders, she looks great but they really should have held off on the body changes until they could provide the right options.

If they changed the bodies to defeminise (such as with the reported removal of cleavage) females then they succeeded.

Please, SSG revert these changes until you can provide the tools to customise the way people would like. Then, if I want to make a heavy-set girl I can, if I want to make a thin, straight body, I can, if I want to make a 'classic' hourglass figure I can.

These new changes do not allow that at all.

We need, shoulders, arms, breast/upper torso size (for either males or females) waist size, hip size, buttock shape, upper and lower legs and for heaven's sake how hard could it be to add a height slider.

I really can not get comfortable with these changes at all. Please add more options.

I want them to actually TEST any future sliders they make as well. What we got right now broke a lot of animations. I for one would like to get my female captain and female beorning to look feminine again.

    Agreed on both accounts.

If you are initially logging in for the first time after the update you should log into the character into the game world, as it will apply some avatar updates that aren't initially immediately available when first logging in post-update.

We are aware of animation issues and item clipping issues with the new update and we are working to resolve these issues as quickly as we can. We are also aware of an issue where sliders are resetting to the middle position when the barber panel is opened.

Thanks for the reply. I am aware of the false discrepancy between what was initially shown on the character select screen and what is in the game. Characters that have been logged in appear as they should

I am simply asking for the tools to be able to recreate the figures of my characters to as close to possible as before the update same as I could do with the face, which I think is much improved and I like that part of the update. I have no interest in dragging around socio-political things as that is not my disappointment with the update.

My issue is simply that one single slider, which I honestly believe gives horrible results, defeminises women and limits the ability to create the 'ideal' character according to one's preferences.

To do all the work that has improved facial customisation then to do what I feel is a complete downgrade of the body shapes, regardless of animation/clipping bugs (also checking in the game just now the issue I found with the left leg seems to be with the mesh itself and not the pants I mentioned as I looked at others of a similar tight fit and they all have the same problem)

Please, if inclusion and representation is your goal, do not downgrade and limit the ability to restore my characters to as close as I can to their pre-update body shapes and develop the tools to allow us to customise our figures (which are as important to real-life people as they are to our in-game characters) to the same much-improved level as the faces.

This update has been a mix of very good and very very disappointing on a simple aesthetics front.

    Thank you for replying

Would you please mention to the art team that the area above the eyes on the male Race of Man characters have a problem? Men don't have any eyelashes at all at the moment because the skin area above starts at the tips of the eyelashes instead of at the base.

A friend of mine was a bit shocked at the body of one of the female human characters on the character select screen but told me that when the character was logged in the body became OK again

Looking forward to visiting the barber again when the sliders are fixed, but in the meantime I use screenshots to remember their placement

Yes, we are aware of this issue with eyes. Should be corrected in the next game update.

Are you aware of "shadowed" ugly ears too? I mean, it probably goes without saying because that one is pretty apparent, but just asking

    I did want to add my agreement to the body type stuff. I actually really love the update, it's such an improvement and I'm having so much fun with the CC now but I am a bit upset with the shrinkage of the female body types in particular. You already couldn't really get a very big musculature on women but my burglar's arms have been shrunk even more than before, and pushing up to 'chubby and muscular' actually shrinks her arms even more. Before and after comparison below;

Yes, it would be great to have the different body types have their own sliders, though I don't know if it's possible

That way those of us who want a slender flute-player could bring the body thickness slider to the lowest and the muscle slider to the lowest and get a very slender body, and someone who wants a big strong warrior could up the muscle slider and add a bit of the body thickness slider, and someone who wants a softer rounder body could use the body thickness slider to fine-tune their character's body and pull the muscle slider to the lowest

I'm thinking it might be easier to have a normal chubby body with more than one slider. How it is now, at least for hobbits, you can only have a big stomach if you don't mind veery thin arms. And you can only have thicker arms if you don't mind thinner waist and lots of muscles.
