Where do you get these Wound healing flasks that you can use in battle? I have 2 different types of wound healing pots and neither of them let me use them in battle. One is the salve and the other is in a bottle which might be what you are referring too but I have never been able to use them in battle and they even say they can't be used in battle in the description. I'm really confused as to what people are talking about when they say there are wound healing pots that can be used in battle because I have stopped at every healer and they sell the same 2 wound pots and neither of them can be used in battle. Are these pots world drops only and I have never seen them in 40 levels?

Screw hidden nuggets. When does LoTRO get chicken nuggets? Mmm.. I want to cook chicken nuggets.

Orcs all over do that. Some in the orc camp east of the Greenway and North of Bree. In the Lone Lands in Ost Cyrn, in the fields south of Gatson's farm in the North Downs.
In Angmar, by the siege engines east of the Earth-kin camp, the orc captains constantly harangue their troops and call them names for getting the siege engines stuck.
Here's one I haven't seen mentioned:
If you climb the steps near the forge in Esteldin and then across and jump down between the archers and their targets, practicing by the loremaster trainer, one of the archers exclaims something along the lines of, "Are you insane? You'll end up sprouting an arrow doing that!"

Further to the sparring NPCs, there are some enemy NPCs training at an archery range in the Garth Agarwen instance that you can attack too.

I remember the first time I ran to Rivendell in Beta. I was like level 12 or so and I passed over the Fords and climbed up the mountain (the raod disappears at this point) I remember thinking to myself "What was it that Gandalf was looking for to find the Valley..." Then I remembered. White stones along the path lead down into the Valley. (He tells this to Bilbo in teh Hobbit) So that's what I looked for. Sure enough, the path into Rivendell from the Trollshaws is made up of white stones.

I just thought of a good one. In Bree-Land, the Neekerbreekers of various types (large cricket looking items), are the name by which Sam (if i remember the books correctly) made up for them, on their journey to weathertop, because of the sound that they made.
I'm going to do that next time I go to Esteldin ^^
Another NPC interaction that tickled me: I was swimming across the Brandywine river, and there was a hobbit in a boat. I swam up to him, and he yelled at me something like, "What are you doing there? Get out of the water, or you will surely be drowned!" I was laughing so hard- I love those sensible hobbits!
Frankly, it really is the NPC interaction, especially the unexpected interaction, that is one of my favorite aspects of the game. I love it when the Uruks in Urugarth shout "kill the Man/Woman/Elf/Dwarf/Hobbit" (though I think it should be Halfling myself...) and then all the NPC run straight to the person who is drawing the aggro- usually the minstrel or tank. It's absolutely hilarious.

They are sparring with each other in their animations, but they are not in fact attacking each other. The bog guardians in Meluinen are actually being attacked and killed by other enemies in the swamp, not just displaying animations that make them look that way.
But yes, I love all the little NPC interactions throughout the world. Very immersing.

I didn't see this one on here( but i didn't read the whole thing). I thought it was really cool when you stand next to Frodo in Rivendell you get dread beacuse of the One Ring.
I joined a fellowship with another burglar and we were sneaking through one of the Greenfields goblin camps. We passed one particular goblin who was standing next to a fire, dancing his fool head off, thinking no one could see him. Needless to say, we went over and burgled him. And then walked away.
Yes, my fellowship found it particularly hilarious when that Barrow Wight killed me and then trash-talked me. I wish I could remember exactly what he said, but trash-talking enemies are enjoyable. But yes, I love all the little NPC interactions throughout the world.
The best part was that the joke was on him. My fellowship killed him and then rezzed me. I made sure to /mock his corpse before I moved on.
Another bit of text from the ferry guard in Buckland, when he says that ferry is closed but the the bridge is 20 miles north. Exactly as Merry says in the books.
I also love much of the chatter of the orcs and such. The orcs occasionally refer to "tarks" which is the orc word for the Men of Gondor!
So many little details which make the whole milieu so much more entertaining. Wonderful job again, Turbine!

in the north downs, north east of esteldin, there are tons of wargs. right in front of an auroch-skull display, there is a warg just in front of it tearing apart and eating what looks like a deer carcass. nice detail. I've also seen barghests in the barrows scratching themselves.
That one got us kudos from Tolkien Enterprises when the liasons came to meet our lore-monkeys. First question was, "Where did you get *tarks* from?" Besides the entry in the Appendices, it only appears once--maybe twice, though I believe only once at Cirith Ungol--in the main text.
Not much lore-related, but our group chuckled after the Oathbreaker summoned via conjunction looked at his watch during a group regen rest.

Speaking of Oathbreakers and other Assorted Undead...
I also like how the Oathbreakers will seem to stretch and adjust their armour as they're standing there.
I also noticed the Barrow-Wights would pause and adjust their skulls! I thought that was both cool and kinda creepy at the same time.

Ok I can't believe in a thread this long, no one else has mentioned this (I did a coulpe of searches to be sure). However, I was rereading The Lord of the Rings (once again) and I noticed the following passage in the chapter Homeward Bound. The emphasis is of course mine...
This brought to mind Ted Pickthorn, the NPC whose has a memorable (at least to me) mini quest-arc in Combe. Specifically, the thought passed through my head, "Poor Ted and things were just starting to look up for him. Now his cousin, or some such, was violently killed..."Originally Posted by Return of the King, Homeward Bound
It's a little thing, but that's what this thread is for.![]()
You know, here's a little tidbit that I loved the first time I saw it way back in beta, and which I still love even today:
The pair of spear-holding guards (in Trestlebridge, and also at the Archet-Combe gate) who stand aside to let you pass. Whoosh! They are awesome. I want to tip them.
