About the armour sets, those can be placed in the wardrobe (first 20 slots open free to VIP, and are permanent purchases once you've bought slots). Once in the wardrobe, they can be cosmetically equipped by any alt on that account, if I am not mistaken. You can get rid of them after that to free up regular inventory, but the appearances must stay in the wardrobe after that. I have storage alts to free up space elsewhere. I certainly wouldn't mind having more inventory space of all kinds, free and purchased.

(relic combining is another that comes to mind, after all my years clicking I often wonder if I will end up looking like one of those crabs with one arm/claw bigger than the other.)
I already have 6 bags to carry stuff, and have
refined it so i have at least 3 empty at all times.
I also use the pending loot to keep all the junk
I will sell to vendors.
I would like to see stacks go 100+ to save space
in the bank, polished gems and scholar mats are
the first that come to mind that really need to
stack up to 250/300 to open a lot of space.
relic combination,if it was faster,I'm talking 4/5 times
as fast at least,i could left click/enter and forge relics
crazy fast,100's in a minute or less.it's nothing to get
that message 'too many requests, slow down' in 2
seconds flying through relic forging.
If this was already talked about, I'm sorry. I just don't have the time to read 15 pages of ideas (although totally wish I did!! From what I have seen, there are some great ones!!)
Anyway, I would like to see the items in our bags make sense when we go to sell, so we don't have to look at each icon or read each title to find what we are looking for to sell. Alphabetizing would seem to solve this. I have tried selling all (ofc most items being locked), and going back and buying back what I wanted to keep, but sadly, not all items stay in the buyback window, and many get lost this way. I guess that would be another thing I'd like to see, is that u can buyback anything u have sold that day, so long as u haven't logged. Haha, that being said, I have crashed before too, and lost the possibility to buy back stuff that way. That is a real bummer too.
Also, ***PLEASE get the Westemnet icons made already!!!!*** It really bugs me that u didn't make new ones for the new items. Seems lazy and cheap![]()
Anyways, thanks for trying to make our space issues better!!!
It would be great if we could have a sort or show by level for inventory/shared storage.
I make a lot of crafted items (armour, jewelry etc) and store it in my vault until my alts get ready for it. I have mixed levels of stuff and it's really hard to spot the items that are L12 or L27. If we could have a "sorted by level" it would make things easier to find. Often I've missed an item and when I realize I could have used it, my alt has already outgrown it. Also, if I want to see if I have something another player can use based on their level I have the same problem.
Either a straight sorted by level or a ranged sort like at the AH.

I agree with Shaleth above. I really haven't got time to read through all the previous posts so my apologies if I repeat previous suggestions. Please see repeated ideas as reinforcement of the original idea.
I find I steal ideas and compare to my earlier life in World of Warcraft a lot when I think about LoTRO's storage, mail and kinship management systems. I feel the same as when I played D&D Online. The whole item system could be done so much better.
A hugely useful feature from that game was the kinship vault (guild bank). A huge vault with increasingly expensive (in in-game currency) additional storage tabs of around a hundred slots each. View, deposit and withdraw rights granted depending on the kinship rank (more ranks should be available to kinships). This was a great way for fellow members to craft, farm and share useful items.
Another feature from that game was bags of varying sizes. The bag size could vary from as small as 4 slots to massive 36 slot bags for crafting materials. These bags could be crafted by players.
Armor storage should be separate, sort of like a saddlebag, where you could store armor sets for your different specializations. The armour set should be quic switchable, perhaps switch between armor set 1 and 2 (and 3 maybe) using hotbar buttons, this way we could switch sets for different situations such as damage dealing, damage mitigation, crowd control etc. (not while in combat though and with a fair induction time of course)
Personal storage could be a lot more generous too. Not just vault space but housing storage in particular. The cost of house storage expansion is now extortionate. I can't remember having 125g more than a couple of times in my year on LoTRO and all it would buy me is another meagre 15 slots. The storage is perhaps enough for 2 or 3 characters but when you try to keep 6 or more characters busy crafting, levelling and gearing it is little more than pathetic. Let's face it. If everyone had more storage there would be fewer purely mule accounts hogging houses in our already crowded homesteads.
This might go outside the scope of this discussion but if a storage revamp is going to happen anyway then it might be worth looking at the mail system too. Multiple attachments please. Need I say more?
Anyway, thanks for addressing the storage system. This is, for me, the single most frustrating feature of this game.
I posted this in wrong thread, sorry.

Its all about LUA scripting. LUA scripting is sooo close to being done, with the flaws in it stopping it being top notch.
If $ time was allocated to LUA then we would see a whole heap of contributions from the community that would help out in the inventory space and other areas. Please please please spend time on LUA scripting.
I know this might seem silly, but I really enjoy coding and playing LOTRO. I've been frustrated with LUA scripting because of its limitations. Its time to stop it being a hobby and make it part of the game formally.

Adding Shared Kinship Vaults, accessible from any Vault-Keeper, might be incredibly helpful to a lot of players. The kinship housing storage serves this function, but many people probably do not feel inclined to port to (and out of) the various housing developments. This could potentially free up some additional space in both the housing market and the auction house. Perhaps this function might be rewarded to longstanding 'Rank 11' kinships.
- More (~20;infinite?) sorting tabs in vaults/wardrobes/housing chests
- Ability to remove all items in a tab at once, with a right click option (such as withdraw/move), or shift click of the tab’s title
- Ability (bought with TP or VIP perk) for permanent (temp. for VIP) remote access of vault/shared storage/wardrobe/escrow in all housing neighborhoods (open-able with an alert link)
- Remove all (or most, up to like 500 for the sake of it) limits of Storage, Shared Storage, and Wardrobe upgrades. (Just warn people that if they get too many slots, loading time may be a lot longer)

• Shift support: you can 'Shift+right click' items and they will instantly go into/out of storage inventories, without having to either drag & drop or right click, go to the option, & click it. This would also surpass the usage of the item, which is important.
• Hold Shift (or a key) and double/right click on rep items, legacy rank up, or auto combine relics, and it will do them all at once.
• Hold Shift and right click a piece of equipment to equip to the second slot of that type.

I haven't read all (or most) of this thread, but here are my thoughts.
My number one concern is that there's going to be new stuff to buy that will cost mithril coins. Please, whatever there's going to be to buy, make it cost TP, not mithril coins. I know some players like MC fine, so those people won't mind if it costs MC - however, I don't know of anyone who dislikes spending TP instead (there could be, of course, but I haven't run into any), so I'm hoping it would be a win-win situation. For me, at least, I would be much more likely to buy something if it cost TP, because I object to having to buy and spend another virtual currency to buy the virtual item that I wanted in the first place, plus there is still the issue of not getting a receipt for larger purchases if you have to use MC. I'm okay with MC being used for minor purchases, but personally I'm not going to buy anything important with them. Again, I can't speak for others, but I don't exactly see large benefits in making special new features cost MC either, since that's adding one extra step that players have to go through to get what they want. It might be a very minor hassle, but it's still sort of a hassle. I'd like to just go right to the LOTRO store and buy what I want.
Other than that, what I would like is more bag space overall, more vault space overall, more shared wardrobe overall, and possibly more shared storage overall. (Can you tell I'm kind of a hoarder?) Also, I would love it if Shared Wardrobe had a feature that allowed you to dye items that were in the wardrobe, without having to find the original item.
After skimming some of the posts, I'm seeing people ask for ways to combine relics/click rep items faster, and I completely agree with them. That would save me a lot of clicking. However, if any feature like that is implemented, I would like there to be a confirmation box (like "are you sure you want to decon 43 relics?" or "are you sure you want to use 100 rep items?") just because it would be frustrating to, say, accidentally decon all the relics I was about to mail to my alt. I think one extra click would be plenty reasonable, since you'd be saving 43 or 100 (or however many) clicks anyway. It's just the repetitive clicks that are annoying.
Still gotta say I would love to see a bank on
the creep end, even if it was only 20/25 slots.
The kin house chests are no problem for me
as I have a house right around the corner from
it,and I always start off there as I take all my
characters there when I log off.
And getting off storage a second, going to be looking
at animations again?soon? My guardian sometimes is
left holding his bow rather than go back to his shield
in the middle of a fight, and my hunter sometimes ends
up running around with an arrow hanging off from his
hand after combat, like he's carrying around an arrow
I have read part of this thread, so these may have been listed, but I'll add my vote. One thing that would make managing space much easier would be the ability to use shift/cntl type multi-select to move items around. This combined with sorting would really help. How wants to devote a night of playing just to sorting and managing inventory? Legendary items should be stored with the legendary panel, since we pay for those extra slots there. Some way to manage housing storage at the vault keepers would be awesome, some way to move items without running back and forth.
In the game, NeverWinter Nights, one could have a bag within a bag. This bag came in different sizes but one bag that took one inventory slot could have 15 more inventory slots and one could have 15 bags, containing 15 slots in one main inventory bag.
Instead of 15 slots in one main bag, with 15 internal bags, one could increase storage to 225 for one external bag.
This would allow, if the internal bags could be renamed, for farming items, or clothing, or RP items like sparklers baskets of eggs - and for musicians to have all their instruments stowed neatly without loosing so much precious inventory space.
Such bags could be crafted by tailors or bought from the store for Turbine points or be quest items -- or all of these. This would, for me be a fix to the very restrictive personal inventory system.
Non-single use recipes are still good even if you might have learned it. Some people save recipes (even non-single use recipes) to pass along to kinship members and friends or sell in the auction house. Some people sell things at auction house because they'd rather another player have an opportunity of using something rather than junking it at a vendor. As for single vs non-single use recipes stacking and being difficult to differentiate between the two, this could be remedied by color or a dot even.
If you do it every time you play it doesn't take a whole night.
And even if it didn't, the answer is me.
Sheesh. How about you just put one single button in the interface, and it plays the damn game for you? That's pretty much where we have been going for the past four years.
It was bad enough when we good instantly loot corpses, or multiple corpses, without having to touch them (my problem with that was sometimes you would drop a monster within aggro of another one, meaning you would have to fight to get the loot - sometimes a higher level one that prevented you from doing it). Please tell me we will NOT be able to check mail or stuff our vaults from out in the wilderness without even having to visit a vault or mailbox. YAWN
His sword was long, his lance was keen, his shining helm afar was seen.
Too many good ideas to all be implemented!
The ideas that really grab me are the craftable inv. bags and chests; removing LI from the inv. bags; larger stacks of craftables and vendables, maybe other types of items just as tradeable coins going to 999/stack.
Master level +, naturally. Maybe the higher the crafting level, the more slots could be created. Heck, let's even give the retailers a nod, here. Crafting level allows the purchase of a greater number of inv. slots per crafted bag/chest. (Got to keep the Beast fed, after all.)
Stacking unidentified LIs would be FANTASTIC (once identified, I'm fine with them being held separately)! And why not? We stack hides from huge aurochs and drakes. Why not LIs? These are one of the biggest users of inv. space, since their inception.
Here's a thought: Saddle Bags. Your chosen mount has 2 inv. bags holding up to (regulation #) slots. AND.... (wait for it.....)
......
Pack Mule/Goat! =)
With 2x 30-slot packs. They would likely run away in combat or water, but be recalled with only a whistle just like a mount.
Speaking of Inv. renovation - Can we discuss "selectable inventory items"? Imagine: I need to move 10 stacks of scrolls, 5 stacks of crafting items, 6 stacks of Task tradeables, 5 stacks of monster drop pots for my alts all to the Shared Vault.
I click the existing "Hide Locked" button. Only my unlocked items now show. There's a new button called "Move All" in the window. I click that, the click in the Shared Vault section (or Kin Vault, or Saddlebag, or any other Inventory bag with ADEQUATE space) I want them to go to, and voila! Saved several minutes of work, and I can now get back to that cool quest line I was just enjoying.
And I am another who votes AGAINST MAIL AND VAULT ACCESS IN WILDERNESS. Call me a Luddite, or what you will. I enjoy an element of reality, once in a while.
Someone mentioned quests that will not complete if inv. bags are full. I agree completely that we should be able to complete quests with item rewards attached, by shunting those items to our Pending Loot. I might be wrong, but that seems to me to be kind of a no-brainer and an easy improvement to install.
I want to give appreciation for these threads that rake all the players' whims together for sorting. It's not an easy task, and often we are less than thankful.
So big ups; hats off; props; WOOOT!!; and kudos to all of you. Here, especially to Sapience for the thread and Kate for the management. And to everyone I did not mention - I would love to buy you a beer or a coffee. Just let me know. I'm in Mass. not far from the offices.
Seriously.

I would like to see changes in the wardrobe storage. I would like more freedom to organize my charcter's clothing options as I want, and not have items slotted in storage simply by type or acquisition. I think it would be great if I could make my own categories similar to the way my storage and shared storage are structured. I'm certain I'm not the only fashion conscious player.
I'm pretty certain everyone is on page with the absurd housing storage. 1G for 15, 5G for 30, 25G to 45 and another 625G to cap at 120. Total, over 750 Gold. I have that much but I would need to have rocks in my head to spend it.
It might have made sense as a theoretical gold sink, before free accounts and shared storage though I doubt anyone ever actually got around to doing it. Now it's just an odd glitch in evolution.
Two things I would like to see:
Make the bags scalable like the quickbars. I don't need the icons in my inventory so large. Being able to "resize" doesn't really do that. It only changes the shape of the bag window, which helps but they still take the same space. Let me rescale them individually.
Also: Let me lock entire bags. Locking individual items is nice but going through 6 bags of stuff locking and unlocking is a pain in the ####, especially when the items I need to have change often. If I could lock the whole bag, then I could keep my pots and scrolls and such in a locked bag and my craft mats in another locked bag and when I go to a vendor I can just hit Sell All to get rid of all the ####.
EDIT: Wow. c r a p is a bad word here?
Well since you are looking into inventory improvements I would just like to say I would like a sort and merge option added to the bags so I don't have to use a plugins to sort and stack my bags and I would like also the ability to set my bags to automatically only put one type of item in them or many so if I get 5 bags full of task items the 6th bag I have will not allow task items in so that they instantly go into the over flow instead of using up space I have set a side for crafting items. and make it a check list type thing so you can click what you want to have the bag except like you can with your chat channel let there be a list like that only for selecting items in which you want in that bag.
