Riddermark Closing Party: heads up!

Hey Ridderfolk!

Recently on Ridder /world chat it came up several times in group conversations to have a closing party on Riddermark in the very end, just before the server shuts down.

Getting this thread started early to remind everyone who wants to come: remember to make your "staying party toons" soon, before new character creation becomes disabled on our server! Or remember to keep at least one older toon until the very end.

Please feel free to take over this thread with further discussions/plans/announcements/etc about the party as the time approaches and more details emerge. I just wanted to get it going, but the idea belongs to our server as a whole, born out of genuine group camaraderie. Let's make it really happen!

I'd like to suggest to hold the party in a few weeks, just before transfers for Riddermark open up.... No one is going to want to return to the server come December, as they will have moved on, have changed kins and friendships, and have gone in all sorts of different directions.

The time to party is NOW. With "now" actually being the evening before transfers open up, because every toon you know will be gone the next few days after.....

Or we could do them both. Day/Night before transfers open up and the mass exodus commences,
and months later a bit of a reunion party right before the server is shut down. Give us all a chance
to share tales of our experiences in those other worlds and pay a final tribute to our first home.

I wouldn't speak for "everyone" not wanting to return. There are at least 5 of us so far who are rolling new "closing party" alts and setting them aside until the very end. Riddermark closure will occur during Yule festival, and Winterhome will be our last farewell to the server. Everyone is welcome, who wants to pay Riddermark this last homage. I'll be popping into world chats on remaining US servers closer to January 1 to remind ex-Ridder folks about this event once we have the date and time.

The OP idea is about the "end of the world" closing party on Riddermark, at the very end. You're more than welcome to plan/organize a pre-transfer party, though - the more the merrier
