Buy Turbine Points for a Friend?

I'm curious if it's possible to buy Turbine Points from the LOTRO market and then gift them to someone else? I know I can't do this in-game because it will just add to my account, but if I buy LOTRO Market webpage, does it provide a code key or does it just add to my account? I've seen this topic discussed but the dates on the posts are years old and some say it's a code and some say it's not.

Well, I have bought expansions and the like in the Market before and got a list of codes to activate on whatever account you like. That is the one thing I prefer with the Market as you can give the code to a friend.

Ages ago you could get a point code while buying the Samwise Gamschie Pack and that was a code to apply, too.

So I would say it should give you codes now, too.



There had been a time when a different version of the Market had things activated directly to the account logged in the web page but that is gone for some time now.

Didn't they have LOTRO Point Cards once upon a time too? Similar to "game time cards"? Maybe I'm crazy... maybe I dreamed it... but if it was perhaps they could be found online.

Well I've had a few too many instances of thinking things that I've dreamed actually happened.

But in this case, I'm certain that yes you could buy Turbine Point cards once upon a time. Haven't seen them lately though.

At the top of the very page you are looking at right now there is a link to the LOTRO MARKET. You can buy point codes there. Different than buying points from the store.
