    Hallo Welrian

Du fängst dort also komplett neu an.

Ansonsten findest du vielleicht in Thodorins Thread (https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthr...04#post7879804) noch einiges an Infos.

    Translation:

    (Hello Welrian

The names of the two legendary servers are Anor and Ithil. Both legendary servers can be accessed in the server list at login into the game. You must be VIP to play on them.

You start there with one (or more) brand new chars. You cannot transfer chars or items between legendary and regular servers. You start (over) from scratch.

You may find additional Infos in Thodorin's threads (see link above).)

Last night, an excursion into Garth Agarwen where we were pretty much owned. Burglar and Captain on level and an over-level Minstrel.

I really like this area, but I think it's the first time I *really* felt the lack of armor.

I have never been to GA, since I've been primarily a solo player, and this is a groupy area. I think I will really like it with a clothed toon.

We have not given up on running it naked though! Moar strategy.

We gotta go try that again. I'm going to let Ardith up one more level.

Would it be worth doing the others first? There's Grimbark and the water vessel one. Shaz reports that he got all the way to the boss on Grimbark before getting annihilated on solo. Though he was level 36 I think.

I'm really interested in the plotline around this, so want to do what I can.

I am pretty sure we could get through Grimbark but not sure about challenge mode (those pesky bees cause a lot of damage) but let's give it a try

Anyone interested in our jolly little band, please check out our Beacon Spotlight (courtesy of Echoweaver- thank you!)

Other characters to track down on Anor would be Wisa, Biggly and Sugaree or just go to our website https://victoryssecret.shivtr.com/ and send us an invite request there.

    OK, so further update --

As I approach lvl 40, the difference between instances and landscape play is becoming more pronounced. Instances ~30 were challenging with a full fellowship of nudists. Instances ~38 might start becoming impossible on-level.

As a data point, I was doing Moria undergeared with my Hobbit Burglar on Crickhollow and was invited by friends to join up for a full fellowship doing the Watcher. I wasn't even naked -- I had on-level chest, leg, and a couple pieces of jewelry. I didn't actually INTEND to enter the instance that way, but I forgot to go get my gear.

I was able to spend about 3 seconds in the water. It was a hilarious catastrophe. A couple more levels above recommended is not going to fix that.

I agree Echo. Things get much more tricky in Moria for the unclothed.

    I have a Yellow-Line Burg up to 56.
I manage just fine with on-level solo stuff, even slightly above level solo stuff.
But, when it comes to group content, it really is GROUP content.

I was doing a T2 skirmish (Thievery and Mischief) and that was going ok until I tried to party with the picnic-table munching goblin (Skirmish Encounter at the beginning).

    Gruglup (the extremely attractive Goblin)

I was stealthed. I picked his pocket then set him up for a back-stab and was going to quickly follow that with a daze.
I got the back-stab off just fine.
    But, he had other plans.
I was dead before I finished withdrawing the knife. (That boy has moves that rival Arya's)

No armour means a devastating hit from an elite can be the end of your adventure.

Yeah, it's tricky, and tough, but if it wasn't I wouldn't bother doing it.

I think I'll stick with T1 skirmishes from now on.

    Grin.

Hey! I know I’m a little late to the party here, but Tommi, my level 7 dwarf guardian, just nailed the troll-in-a-cage quest armed with just a crafted bronze greatsword and rowan crossbow (went for yellow line so foregoing the shield and thought the debuffs might help). It took four deaths in total and a little help from a few of the boosts you get in the gifts for starting adventurers, but I got there in the end! I did try and do it on level 6 at first, but that was a little too optimistic...

I have a dwarf guard on Laurelin, but the biggest difference I have found wearing nothing on Anor is that I can’t use my normal tactic of “stand still and hit stuff”

OK so last night reached level 10 and was bashing through Ered Luin quests and deeds. So far apart from the troll-in-a-cage, there’s nothing that’s presented any challenge and it’s just as easy as it was with full gear. I certainly don’t kill stuff any slower than I did. I’m thinking maybe it gets harder when you level up a bit more and gear becomes more important?

Also sent a mail to Biggly and Wisa in game about joining up - is there a level I should be aiming for to catch up with what is going on at the moment?

    You can also message Ardith.

We have some toons in Misty Mountains. That's mid-30s I think? I'll have to check.

Thanks! I’ll message you as well then

Misty Mountains is 40s, so I’ll have to power up to 39-40 as fast as I can. I’m normally about 34 by the time I finish the Lone Lands, so it shouldn’t take too long if I focus (grim dwarf face on )

Is there any way to toggle the 60% XP on and off, or is that just the way it is on the LS?

So... Tommi very kindly got an invite to the kin from Ursanna - thank you! I’m on UK time so will have to catch up with you all at weekends mostly I guess.

Up to level 16 now and questing in Bree-Land. It seems guardians are hitting very hard right now - on-level mobs are dropping very quickly despite only carrying weapons (and those with only vitality/phys mit stats).

Mental note - don’t fight 8 brigands at once. It doesn’t work without wearing the standard wall of steel

    Hi!

I play in the evenings mostly, so probably between about 2pm and 6pm if you’re on the east coast. Don’t worry though, I’ll just go with the flow and join up if I catch any of you on (and I’m the right level).

Just hit level 20 and still no gear - no real problems yet which is weird. They really must have buffed guard recently because this is feeling super easy. Just did the skirmish intro and practically one shotted everything. The guy with the “broken classes” thread might be right...

And hey, Boraxxe - thanks for the filth

Oh, yeah....I think I will start a new tradition; All new members get awarded filth as a welcoming gift. Grin.

Oh, and about the guard doing so well...

Lotro's dirty little secret: you don't need gear to play this game.

Once you have a basic understanding of how your skills work and if you are a bit familiar with the mobs, and as long as you pay attention and don't let yourself get overwhelmed by 4 orcs at once, you can pretty much cruise through on-level and lower stuff.

Of course, newbies will have problems with survival, well-geared or not.

    On the skirmish issue...try a T2 skirmish.

Like I told you...What I said...Steal your face right off your head.

Retake Weathertop is level 23. Reaboj and Boraxxe have toons parked there, I believe. I am not QUITE there but could get there tonight. Two more kinnies, Shazbat and Gil, also I believe had toons parked there. I'm not sure Gil is still active.

I am a long-time player who has come late to grouping, and I want ALL THE INSTANCES. Let's see what we can make happen here.

Right, so pretty much 23 now and just clocked off for today. Just completed the Sambrog/Tom Bombadil instance in the epic. Tortoise stone on... Should be able to reach Weathertop tomorrow. Perhaps we can storm it sometime over the weekend...?

Funniest thing... A player very kindly made me a set of armour and offered it to me for free - thought I had nothing lol! It broke my heart to turn it down. Think I gave them a bit of a fright upon inspection

Right, so Tommi is now parked at Candaith's camp, ready for Weathertop.

This is Tommi - he is wearing only trousers to fool bad guys into thinking he isn't dangerous (and a little bit crazy)

Wierdest thing - when I put in for the kin site, at first it thought I already had an account (must be a shivtr thing as I’m already registered for another kin site). Used a different email address and it went through. But for some reason I could put “dwarf” but the only class I could choose was “beorning”. Hopefully I’ll be able to change it once confirmed. But just thought I’d say I’m not silly enough to actually think I am a dwarf beorning! Hey - maybe that’s the new class people have been looking for ...
