Despite the announcement that housing carry-alls are on sale, the full prices are still showing in the store.
Please fix soon, because I've got some LP burning a hole in my pocket!![]()

They are meant to be purchaseable, but not at a discount.
TBH they don't seem like a very good deal. Who keeps stacks of identical housing items laying around?
I don't think they are a good deal. An expansable shared storage for housing items was what I'd been hoping to see for years now. Not this.
I am also not a fan of the crafting carry-alls and would prefer a shared crafting item storage, but at least I can see some use for those.
Each type of Carry-All benefits some players more than others. I support them adding as many types as they can design even if there are only a few I might be interested in.

You know what I love about this game - Your game and what you like to do, isn't the same as my game and what I like to do. I will defend your right to play as you wish, though.
If I counted correctly, I used 21 Mordor doors in a haunted house last year. If I had destroyed them instead, I wouldn't have created the house. And the people who visited it would not have had those minutes of enjoyment.
I like decorating. I own numerous houses. I refuse to destroy any items that are not very easily obtainable through the housing furnishers. So, for me, the housing carry-alls are a godsend. And if I knew how to post pictures, I could show that I have Druidsfire beat.
My point about the housing carry-alls, though, is they seem to be less useful overall for the portability aspect. Crafting or task can help when you are out gathering or questing, but how often will you be getting lots of house items while out and about in the world.
I would have preferred a shared storage for housing items similar to the shared storage we have now. something I can buy and access through the vault locations. something that applies to all servers and can be expanded.
With the carry-alls it just feels like we are being sold a limited type of storage that is both more expensive and needs to be purchased at full price over and over if you play on different servers or want more than one character to be able to use it without always needing to swap through shared storage anyway.
I have 8 maxed crafters (Farmer, Cook, Woodworker, Metalsmith, Weaponsmith, Jeweler, Tailor and Scholar). Each has at least two of the carryalls. The advantage of the carryalls is that I don't have to keep going to storage, finding the items, moving items to my character's bags just to make something. I just try to make the recipe and its obvious that I have or don't have the items needed.
BTW "finding" is not that easy. First you have to look at the recipe, then go to inventory and look through the bags, then sometimes look on other characters (log off - log on) because storage is always a big problem. The Crafting Carrry Alls are huge!!
May the winds of fortune sail you,
May you sail a gentle sea.
May it always be the other guy
Who says, "this drink's on me."
Again, crafting and even task carry-alls, I can see some use. I would still like to have a shared crafting storage like in DDO (where they have both shared storage and a carry-all type bag for crafting items), but here I'm talking about the housing ones. For me, I find them to be much less useful and MUCH more expensive than an actual shared storage for house items would be.
The housing carryalls are useful in that, previously, I'd have several alts at a house in order to decorate. Each alt would hold certain categories. I'd have to keep switching out what mule to have active. This way, one alt has access to everything. I do agree that it would have been nicer to have things stack in regular inventory. My current shared storage contains things like consumables, etc. There isn't a lot of space available for as many decor items that I have.
I do get what you are saying about a shared storage for housing items. But, we are limited to what we can get.
I have to wonder why, though. Is the database the limitation? If so, I worry things will continue to get shakier on the tech side until that is fixed. If not, is it because this way people will buy more as they are essentially per-server storage items?
The carry-all may be more convenient than nothing at all, but it is far from the solution I'd want.
I play on multiple servers, depending on the group I'm playing with. Shared storage and the upgrades apply across all the servers and I can access it from any character (although with the bags, I can use it on any character, but would still need to swap it if I did). Determination of value is somewhat personal and situational, though I think I can make a good case that shared storage would be, on average, more useful to someone who plays multiple characters (especially on multiple servers).
For stacking you may have a point, but that just brings up the question, if something can stack in these bags, why can't it stack in other storage?
GOOD GOD,
Did anyone not notice that this player has 20 Mysterious Doors and 12 Blazon of the Great Alliance. The only way I know of to acquire those items is to Purchase The Ultimate Fan Bundle of Mordor for the door and Ultimate Fan Bundle for Minas Morgul to get the blazon.
So if I am looking at this right you own at least 20 copies of the Mordor Ultimate Fan Bundle and 12 copies of Minas Morgul Ultimate Fan Bundle.
Which if my math is right and not taken into account any sales that would be over $4,000 in expansion purchases.
I salute you if this is the case!!! and you are a true supporter of this game.
One Does Not Simply Walk into Minas Tirith they rubber band in!!
I agree with many on here about the cost for a Large Carry-all that can only carry 50 items. Honestly need more individual slots, than stack size. Rather have 1000 slots with only stacks of 5 limit.
