My participation in this discussion has reached its productive limits. Well, it reached it long ago, really, but I still try to disabuse people of erroneous assumptions, when possible.
My general goal in these discussions is this: there are reasons for everything that is done or not done. There are competing groups of players who want different things from the game. And no design decision or tech decision is ever as easy or straightforward as players tend to assume. And you should understand that we do know the game, we listen to players, but if something doesn't happen that you request, there are excellent reasons for it. "It's impossible" is often the #1 reason why some requests don't happen.
Because I'm posting doesn't mean that a persuasive argument will change things. I post to make sure you guys know that people read the forums, so a lack of change on a suggestion doesn't get taken the wrong way.
You can always think of a game that has a given feature that we lack, but no game has every feature. There are certain features of our tech that are not going to change, or are highly unlikely to change, because the change is too big for us to make, to test, to serve.
