    *sarcasm on*

I don't know what anyone is talking about. I have not noticed any issues. I just want to know where people have discovered time travel though. I have been seeing responses to my posts show up before my post does in a discussion. Now that's messed up.

There is something wrong with their clock. A few minutes ago, the forums said it was 11:48 am local time, when it was actually 3:48 pm local time. It may have something to do with the cache not updating as Sapience said. I'm definitely not an expert in such things.

As shadow said, for a company with Turbines backing, it's pathetic. If I worked for Turbine I'd actually be embarrassed to tell anyone.
Thats why i sit back for a week or two and see what horror storys roll out when a new QP is released, just like i did with great river. Didnt seem to have too many issues with GR, so i popped out with the TP for it. They dont get cash from me anyways, as TP is so easy for me to make. As long as they have intern's that cant code their way out of a paper bag if their lives depended on it working on this game, they will never get real money from me, ever.

    Re: Forum issues?

As of now, I'm having a very interesting url in my browser's address bar, for the tab where the User Control Panel is. This is what it looks like at the moment...

    usercp.php?sp_login=1&sp_login =1&sp_login=1&sp_login=1&sp_lo gin=1&sp_login=1&sp_login=1&sp _login=1&sp_login=1&sp_login=1 &sp_login=1&sp_login=1&sp_logi n=1&sp_login=1&sp_login=1&sp_l ogin=1&sp_login=1&sp_login=1&s p_login=1&sp_login=1&sp_login= 1&sp_login=1&sp_login=1&sp_log in=1&sp_login=1&sp_login=1&sp_ login=1&sp_login=1&sp_login=1& sp_login=1&sp_login=1&sp_login =1#post6159018

Yes, note how cleverly it has thrown 32 of those "sp_login=1" variables into it, as well as a "#post6159018", which doesn't belong to that page at all. I just can't understand how Turbine has managed to make it "work" like this...

    Edit:

Also, refreshing the tab where I had Dev Tracker open redirected me into the following url:

    /usercp.php?sp_login=1&sp_login =1&sp_login=1&sp_login=1

Clicking Dev Tracker from top bar from that redirected me into the following url:

    /usercp.php?sp_login=1&sp_login =1&sp_login=1&sp_login=1&sp_lo gin=1

Clicking Dev Tracker yet again got me into the correct url, /turbine_tracker.php?tracker=de v, but it only showed me an error page a page saying "Bad Request. Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand."

As the url was now correct, refreshing that tab yet another time finally got me into the Dev Tracker properly.

There is already a wordpress database for "My Blog".

The problem is not the forum's software. There is one server 4hours behind the others. Either it runs out of sync (why is there no ntp?) or it's a misconfiguration between UTC and EST.
We had a similiar (the same) problem not long ago, so the server admins should know what to do.

    Re: Forum issues?

Seems better this morning. Haven't had to dbl click anything yet after about 5 minutes and the forums seem much snappier. Stuff is still out of order though. Not sure if that will be permanent with stuff already posted and new stuff will be fixed, or if the problem is still there...

edit: nvm, after logging in to post all the problems are back.

I like how I click on a thread and it just reloads the page. It gives me a chance to decide if I really wanted to view the thread. Saves me from making hasty decisions like sending emails when you're mad. (where's the roll eyes emote?)

    Re: Forum issues?

It looks like part of the problem might be with Turbine's authentication system. The tokens are a vBulletin feature related to their login system similar to a cookie but more secure, the repeated =1&sp_login issue looks to be part of Turbine's game/multi-site login system.

Looks like something isn't playing well together.

The real question is when will it get fixed?

    Re: Forum issues?

Also when i am done reading a thread, I usually click on "General Discussion" at the top to take me back to the forum index, but quite often it will just reload the same thread again instead of taking me back to the forum index. I was having this problem for quite some time even before the maintenance the other day, but now the forums are almost unusable for having to click on links sometimes 3 or 4 times before loading the page you want.

    Re: Forum issues?

The "?splogin=1"(or wtvr) issue has existed in the forums since the First Age. It would occur as sson as you logged in to the forums, but you only had to click a link twice, and it would disappear until the next time you log in. Now, we can see it happens for everything and 3+ times "?splogin=1?splogin=1?splogin= 1".

Hope this post ends up in the right place, but with all probability it would be 5 posts behind where I intended it to be, and many years in the past "Dec 1969, 12:73 PM"

    Re: Forum issues?

Welcome to everyone’s favorite new game show, "Wheel of Forum." The hosts seem to be MIA, so we need to figure this out for ourselves.

I must be well on my way to winning sensational prizes, because here’s what I’ve deduced thus far:

Turbine has decided to move the fantasy from the actual game to the forums. Here in the forums, not being constrained by what Tolkien wrote, Turbine can introduce time travel, surrealism and language interchangeability, along with other little surprises.

Step up to the wheel and take your turn. Press that "Submit Reply" button, and round and round she goes, where it stops nobody knows. Will it toss you into the German forums? Will it put your post first in the thread? Will it tell you have the wrong token? (Is the right token available for purchase in the Store?) Will you get a fabulous new numerical error message? Will it tell you to wait seven years and four months before you can try again? Will it eat your post and laugh at you? Or will something even more exciting occur? The possibilities are endless!

Ok, here goes. The suspense is unbearable. . . .

Unfortunately, not for me... every other time I try to navigate to/in the forums I get an HTTP 400 error, or a page with formatting errors....

Sorry, but no. I just had to refresh the page 5 times after hitting the quote button. I kept getting "Bad Request. Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand." I also have to refresh when suddenly ALL THE TEXT GETS VERY BIG and everything gets jumbled around. The forums are still a complete mess for me.
