What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a kinship in which the members will be active a lot there and will help a lot. Also im very interesting on raids and instances and im searching a kinship in which the members will do a lot of them!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

I'm a rather casual playing premium/f2p player. I have 9 characters, one of each class spread around Gilraen and Snowbourn. I made sure I have something for each role on each server.
    *Gilraen: guardian, minstrel, champion, loremaster
*Snowbourn: burglar, runekeeper, hunter, captain, warden

The plan is to have them all leveled to cap sometime, but so far only the guardian has reached that level. Most of the others haven't even reached level 20. I take my time for leveling, and usually read the quest dialogues completely. There is no urgency.

Of course I'm planning to make use of the TP's from deeds, to unlock more content. I already have Evendim, Angmar, Misty Mountains, Eregion, Moria, Lothlorien, Mirkwood and Dunland. As you can probably see, I've unlocked all instances except Fornost, Inn of the Forsaken, Halls of Night and Roots of Fangorn. The problem is that many of them I have never even started (on my lvl 75 guardian), and I want to try those as well. The only raid I ever did (completed) is turtle.

I'm looking for a kin, which can help me group, and learn to do it better. My playtime is limited and irregular (school work, girlfriend, ...). You can't count on me for a weekly instance run or similar. But I am mostly in for some random grouping if I am online. A big kinship with regular random grouping, or with lots of chatting while soloing, fits best with my play style. I'd like to make fun when I have time for it, without any activity rules placed on characters. When kin rules force me to change me doing what I do, I usually don't see the fun anymore. There are things more important as an online game.
In return I'd like to share whatever I know about the game to help newer people if they need. I usually know rather well what is going to happen in updates (dev diary's, patch notes, forum posts) and don't mind sharing it.

If your kinship has place for someone like me, please send a PM/IM.

    Looking for a Kinship

    Age: I am 22 years
Servers: Like I said I'm currently on Laurelin, but I can move around for a kinship that suits me.
Location: I live in Washington, and I'm on PST time zone

MMO games you’ve played: I've played EQ, EQ2, Warhammer, WoW, RIFT, DDO, Matrix, SWO(the old one), Perfect world, Maplestory, and a few others.
Why kinships should be interested in you: Well, I'm a fun person, I love helping out and I really enjoy playing with people. I'm really looking forward to some group fun ^^
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I am looking for a kinship that wants to talk, relax and play casually, One that touches on every aspect of the game and enjoys players that are casual and friendly. I am really looking to Role-play in the Lord of the rings setting, while still being able to level and gain strength.

Red face Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

Hey, just joined a little while ago and am looking for a Kinship.

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Aewarvorn (Elven Hunter) is my main character so far, and I really haven't had time to make any others yet.

Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) 19

Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): I've been playing Firefoot so far, and Nimrodel as well. Firefoot is my preferred server so far.

Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): North American Eastern Time Zone

Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Mostly solo, but I'd love to do groups/fellowships for instances/skirmishes. Or just to explore and level up.

MMO games you’ve played: Just WOW so far. I have played a lot of RPG's though, if that makes any difference.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Well, I like to play the game. I'm very patient as well, and will generally agree with where the group decides to go. Also, I've logged a lot of hours on this game so far, and hope to log many more, so I'll be an active player. That's really all I have to offer so far though.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Mostly social/casual groups. I don't want to feel pressured to act a certain way just because I'm in a kinship.

    Thanks!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

Char Names: I have several. Marid & Svartagi on Landroval, Marid on Melendor, Areli & Caranalagos on Riddermark. I do consider Landroval my home server at present with only Marid on Melendor being over 30 off of it.
    Age: 29
Preferred server(s): Landroval would be nice as I have a 71 Maxed out jeweler & a tailor that is well on his way (supreme atm)... but in truth, I have no qualms with restarting so long as the kinship in question is solid an will be here for a long time to come.
    Location: Eastern timezone, USA.
Playstyle: I solo a lot, it's how I spend a great deal of my time in game. However, it's also the primary reason I stopped playing LoTRO a while back (apart from hating radiance gear. :P). Grouping up is something I'm usually up to, all it takes is someone to ask usually, I will ask myself at times too. I'm not opposed to Raiding, truthfully, I do enjoy it... so long as it isn't like the last few guilds I've been in spread over 3 different games. They get there... get slaughtered over and over, whether I'm in group or not. I have no problems with Raiding, but I would prefer a guild that IS successful at it. I'm also in that breed between hardcore and casual. I expect myself to know my class, to know my builds and be able to help others. However, I don't have the time or ability to dedicate 3+ days a week to raiding-- let alone the desire to, lol.

My classes of choice are: Champion, Guardian, Rune-Keeper, Warden or Hunter. As you can see, DPS & Tanking are my preference, even if I have extensive healing experience. I -would- be willing to heal, but only as an RK.

MMO games you’ve played: My first MMO was Asheron's Call. In the years since then I have played many, many MMOs, including LoTRO from about a month after launch for 3 solid years.
Kinship Interests: To sum everything up:
I'm looking for a progressive guild; this means you're making progress and doing endgame successfully. I would also be willing to join a kinship that has experienced leadership with endgame content. I do solo a bit and I am a crafter by heart, assuming I move from Landroval, I have no idea what crafts I will take up, however I will take at least one.

Above that... it bugs me logging in and having 10-20+ people on and no one says ANYTHING in the kinchat for hours on end. So, a somewhat talkative kinship would be enjoyed, but not a top priority.

If I relocate from Landroval, it would be preferable to join a kinship that can aid me in getting started. I do NOT mean handouts, but rather helping out with some of the more annoying areas in the game, etc. I can handle the leveling process quite well on my own. ^_^

    Other Info:

LoTRO has always held a special place for me, perhaps why it bothered me when I ended up leaving because I could never find a solid group/kinship to run with. I started playing LoTRO about a month after the release of Shadows of Angmar and I played regularly (almost fanatically at times) over the next 3 years. I took a break, then came back and played some more. I struggled on inside of Moria and eventually Mirkwood for a while, but I got very sick of not being able to get any of the radiance needed to move up to the next step. It sucked, lol.

Thankfully, Radiance is no longer an issue. However, it doesn't mean I want to end up in another Eventide... where the people are nice, but no one can successfully run anything, either.

    ----------

Anyway, thanks. Feel free to drop Marid or Svartagi a mail/tell in game if you're on Landroval, or contact me via PM here otherwise.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

    Your name: Damojo

VIP member, currently base game and Moria purchased

    5 characters
Elf Hunter 58 Emptyglas (Moria, just finishing) Tailor Supreme
Dwarf Guardian 51 Damojo (Moria, just starting) Woodworker Supreme
Man Warden 30 Yahmzit (currently crafting) Metalsmith Supreme
Man Loremaster 36 Theobram (currently crafting) Scholar Supreme
Dwarf Hunter 34 Gallugserk (currently crafting) Jeweller Supreme

    Age:30+ quite a bit

Location. UK, on at strange hours, night/early mornings mostly, Gladden

Playstyle: Solo. Not remotely interested in power levelling, love Tolkien's world and intend to enjoy it. However, don't want a kinship where I need to dress up and speak fluent Elf to play either. Would like to have a kinship available for advice and fellowship quests, understand that this is a two way street and will be expected to help others out too.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Team player, easy going, mature and respectful. Good sense of humour. Potty trained. Or maybe just potty. I'll grind Sarnur for rep items every week if its required, don't mind pulling my weight. Complete novice at fellowship play, tuition with a whip and chair may be required, but once I've got the hang of it I'll be game.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):

Seeks active kinship for fun and maybe more. I'm no power leveller, not interested in the team of 13 players killing 2 wargs. Ideally would like a fairly undemanding but active kinship which enjoys the game without either getting too serious, or totally trashing the world of Tolkien to accumulate points. Need plenty of "me" time to enjoy the game. Yes I know, I'm difficult.
Posting here as I have steadfastly ignored every request to join kinships which normally happened just as I was getting up close and personal with a mob. A kinship needs more than "hey wanna join a kinship" squeaked to a perfect stranger to interest me. Why would I join a kinship I know nothing about?

Likes: Everything, I love this game. Not tried PvP but everything else is coochy in my book. favourite zone Eregion (so far) but liking Moria (yes I know, I'm still difficult)

Dislikes: Teams of ejuts banging through a zone killing everything and not looting (its just rude), bad language, disrespectful people, people who take themselves and the game way too seriously, orcs, ruddy crows and bats (just there to annoy players IMHO)

What makes me laugh: The goats sound effect on mount and dismount (never fails), Lynx sneak attack (ditto)

Favourite moments so far: Watching my dwarf kick a troll in the pills and knock it on its back, first views inside Moria, Rivendell/Trollshaws ambient music, summoning bears, goats, sneak attacks (yes I know, but they are both so funny!!)

    Age: 20

    Location: Malta, Europe (CET)

Playstyle: Solo, group, PvE. Mostly a casual gamer, and since relatively new to the game have not yet tried out any hardcore gaming yet.

What kind of kinship you are looking for: I am looking for a kinship which is always willing to lend a hand in fellowship quests (all levels), instances and raids (have not been in a raid yet). I am a Supreme Scholar (having mastered all previous tiers), and am willing to offer my help whenever needed. I am looking for a casual kinship that is serious about the game, but is flexible with it's members due to busy schedules outside of the game.

Your name, or character name and race: Borisinborough. Man Guardian, level 43 + 4 alts.

    Age: 54

    Preferred Server: Gladden

Location: UK. Mostly mornings and evenings.

Playstyle: Happy soloing, but would like to play with fellowships more often. bad experiences with PUGs. I also play some DDO, and Renaissance Kingdoms for five years, so I would like to explore RP possibilities here, although I have little idea about how it happens. I'd like to join a mature, well-established kinship, to develop relationships in-game. External website would be preferred. I would like to extend my gaming options here, and feel a little less like a one man band. Please contact me in-game, as I seldom check the forums as yet.

    58 Ranger on Nimrodel

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Curuadann, Elf Ranger - 58 (plus a bunch of alts from 25 - 45 including Min, Capt, Champ, War)

    Age: 44

    Preferred server(s), if any: Nimrodel

Location: Oregon, USA (Pacific Time Zone) Noon - 5:00 PM GMT (7p - Midnight PST)

Playstyle: Solo, group, RAIDs, casual, time limited, lots of different stuff. Not really into crafting but will gladly help if needed.

Why kinships should be interested in you: Well, I don't really know why. I am just looking for a kinship to play with other players from different parts of the world. How about I play nicely with others and I like cookies. I have a good sense of humor.

What kind of kinship you are looking for: Mature players that are casual and folks that like helping new players. I am happy solo'ing, but miss the interaction with others. And, let's face it...there are just some epic quests that you have to have help with.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

    Server: Brandywine
Name/Race/Class/Level: Lindfeld, Level 46 Human Hunter (no alts right now...seems too daunting to start over)
    Age: 43
Location: California, USA (GMT-8)--mostly evenings and weekends.
Character Profession: Historian (Master Scholar, with Supreme Master just opened up | Weaponsmith: nothing yet, but I'll be working both scholar and weaponsmith until I'm maxed out).

Playstyle: I mostly solo, with occasional and usually small fellowships. I'm married and I work full time. And although I've been playing a lot recently, there are spousal pressures that will probably cause me to curtail my gameplay somewhat.

Why a Kin should be interested in me: Crafting will probably be my biggest selling point. I'm motivated to max out my crafting skills (weaponsmith, scholar) in order to equip myself properly. But I'd like to be able to crank out production for others in the kin too. Also possibly of note: I'm not trying to rush my character to level as quickly as possible. I'm attempting to make a deep and wide character when it comes to skills/deeds, equipment, and crafting. I can't make the claim that I'm doing all of that just right, but that is my goal. And so, I'm hopeful that, when compared with other Hunters at my level, I'll hold my own.

Why I'm interested in a kinship: Crafting, Raiding, and Socializing. Crafting: I've been burning through the gold buying scholar mats at the AH, and frankly, I'm jealous when I set the "kin only" filter and see how inexpensively some of the items are sold. I want in on that action...and of course, that cuts both ways. Toward that end, I would think that one of the larger kins would be nice. Raiding: I have never participated in a raid, and the thought is a little intimidating. I'd like for someone to show me the ropes when it comes to Raids, and I'd like to get up to speed so that I can be a beneficial member of a raiding group, and not a charity case. Socializing: as I mentioned, sometimes I don't feel much like socializing, but that modifier 'sometimes' means that on other occasions, I'd like to talk to some people, whether it's gameplay talk, political talk (watch out!), cooking, general interest, whatever. You know what else I want? This sounds really nerdy, but I want a sense of belonging with a group of relaxed adults. I'm stealing something I saw in a thread in this forum. Another prospective kinmate said words to this effect: I'm an adult, and I act as such. I'm not the guy to get in a flame war, or to troll the chat channels for sport. At the same time, I hope I'm not old and dull (man yells at cloud).

Summary: I'm looking for a casual, crafting-related, mutually-helpful adult kinship, of a minimum size to support my crafting habit (both inbound and outbound).

    Thank you.

(edited to add: yes, my join date is March 12th. However, I've been here before. I signed up in....I think it was 2007, got level 64, I think, with a Guardian. My sons took over that account, stripped my guardian, left him in a ditch, and fenced all his gear. So I can't say that I have a great depth of experience, but it is greater than what's indicated by my new join date).

Server: 'Astelur' on Meneldor, but willing to start a new character on any other server
    Location: Pacific US (GMT -8)
    Age: 32
Playstyle: Solo or Group, PvE, Crafting, Casual

I haven't played long, having tried LOTRO last year and then having life get in the way. I recently picked it up again.
I'm in no way an MMO veteran: this is the first MMO I've spent more than a month on though I've played a lot of single player RPGs.

I've only played solo so far but feel that's not how a game like this ought to be played. I'm looking for a kinship that has mature players who can help make this game more fun for me. I'm interested both in questing and in crafting and am willing to pay it forward by assisting newer folks as they join up.
I'm not looking for a group with fixed gaming times; life outside of gaming does impact my ability to be online often enough!

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Psy, 32 Dwarven Minstrel
    Age: 26
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Vilya but I can re-roll on any server
Location. : Hawaii (GMT -10), Prefer west coast type hours or oceanic hours
Playstyle. : I'm pretty casual and love grouping for anything. I enjoy crafting a lot as well and currently a level 6 farmer
MMO games you’ve played: You name it, chances are I've played it
Why kinships should be interested in you: I'm just a really laid back guy who likes socializing and grouping up to take on challenges. I like to help others whenever I can which is why I play a Minstrel.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm just looking for a mature, fun group of people to play with. I'm newly into the game after not playing since launch so patience would be appreciated.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

Your name, or character name and race:
My name is Katie. I have a 26 human Minstrel on Brandywine, and a 19 Hunter on Vilya, but since they're such low level I don't mind rerolling.

    Age:
    23

    Preferred server(s), if any:
    None

Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
Arizona, USA (I'm in Arizona/Mountain time... we do not get daylight savings)

    Playstyle:
Non-RP, Group, Solo, normal stuff... I'm still learning about the game

    MMO games you’ve played:
Guild Wars, BWE GW2, Rift, Perfect World, Forsaken World, AoC, Allods, Aion, EQ2, RoM

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I don't think they should "choose me and not another player"... I don't want to weigh down a kinship. I think they should want to choose me, and we just enjoy talking and each others company. I don't think it should be as difficult as asked. I'm a casual player.

What kind of kinship you are looking for:
Social, helpful, and talkative. A place I can call home, pretty much. I don't know much about the game so far, but I am eager to learn

Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): I live in Oklahoma, so CST would be great
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Mostly solo but would love to have help with quests. I play for a little in the evenings after 7 and on weekends.
    MMO games you’ve played: NONE
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I have good crafters, I love to help other people with quests and deeds.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I would prefer a kinship that likes to help with quests, deeds, and crafting. I am not big into raids since I can't be on all time.

I'm 29, male, live in Virginia but from New Orleans.

I play on the Arkenstone server.

Looking for a kin that has more than two players around the level 56 range to game with.

Instead of listing all my character's stats, feel free to click the link below to see...

    http://my.lotro.com/home/character/arkenstone/ocalypse

I'm currently in a kinship but only one other player in my level range so I'm looking for more people to game with. I don't mind helping lower level people at all but I still enjoy leveling my own character up!

Send an in game "tell" or mail me, character name is Ocalypse

Your name, or character name and race (if known): I have a few, at this time would prefer anonymity....

Age: (some Kinships have real life age limits): over 35

Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Any NA Server, unless NA to EU is possible.

Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): UK GMT 0

Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Solo, Fellow, Raid, PvP, PvmP, crafter. Anything that helps others.

MMO games you’ve played: Just LOTRO Since 2007

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Really friendly, willing to learn new content and aid others attain their goals.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): A kinship that has EU members, doing content from GMT 4pm - midnight GMT 0 (11am EST to 7pm EST), a kinship with active leaders promoting interaction and pushing new content in a timely fashion, also revisiting old content for deeds and alts.

Being on a NA server and residing in the UK, it is hard to group consistently, unless I raid at 2am my time.
Will consider server transfer for my two mains at first, just really want to get knee deep in raids / fellowships in the evenings UK time.

Playstyle: Solo for when I can't find groups, but prefer to be in groups to make fellowship quests. Not interested in PvP or raiding for gear. Hope I can enjoy endgame content with other people.

MMO games played: A little bit of UO long time ago, LoTRo is the first I play constantly.

What about me: I'm an adult and I espect other in kinship to be adult too. I know I don't have any experience with MMO world in general, so I have to learn a lot. I'm not the kind of person that argue over pointless stuff, I enjoy a good laugh and don't mind jokes. Since I'm new to this MMO world I know nearly nothing about raiding or hardcore endgame. I play for fun and with my pace, I really like enjoying the world I'm playing in. I can follow orders specially when doing stuff I'm not familiar with, I would like to learn how to play in fellowship and do some instances. I have a busy life, work, wife, kid so I will be online on late hours CET.

What kind of kinship I'm looking for: I'm looking for a kinship with mature people, any age, I don't mind. I'm looking for a medium - light RP kinship (elven kinship a plus) because of language barrier but I will try to do my best. A kinship that helps its members to grow is higly appreciated. Prefer an EU kinship for play time. Last, but not least, a kinship that organizes events, I will partecipate if possible due to my RL duties. I could help lower characters to any quest, skirmish, instances even without getting any loot, I'm not playing for that.

What kind of kinship I'm NOT looking for: People or kinships with names like "$$Daboss$$" or "PoWnZor" similar, that would kill immersion for me. A kinship that forces its members to leveling or to have the best gear possible, I would like to enjoy the game. No raiding kinship.

Hope this is enough, feel free to ask question and thanks for reading

    Fammi sapere, siamo a disposizione

    _________

For everyone who's wondering what the hell I wrote above, I was just "advertising" my Italian RP Kinship Aiwenár Rindë.
    Enjoy

    Re: Looking for a Kinship?

    Hi,
We are a fun & friendly kin, with players from the US, EU & Aus... what I like most about Vigilance is that there are no dramas!

If this sounds up your street, check out our website http://www.vigilancekin.guildlaunch.c om

    Elph

    Vigilance of Meneldor
We are a Medium sized Kinship in the MMORPG - Lord of the Rings Online. We are a Rank 10 Kinship located on the Meneldor Server. We consider ourselves a Casual Mature Kinship with a focus on end game content. Most of our Members are 20-40 yrs old with lives, families, jobs, kids and real life responsibilities. With that said, we're all here to have a good time and enjoy all aspects LOTRO has to offer. There is never any pressure to play at given times or to complete any specific tasks. We schedule events, but no one is obliged to go. Vigilance is not an elitist kinship.

    Vigilance Constitution

    1. Have fun! We are all here to enjoy our time in game as much as possible. If someone is not enjoying their time as a member of Vigilance they should contact an officer to discuss the situation, whether the problem is another member’s actions/behavior or the kin direction as a whole.
    2. Loot Smart! Take only what you need unless everyone in the group agrees to open roll and try and keep loot distribution as equitable as possible. Roll only on class items for your own class (unless the required class is not present).
    3. Guidelines for new recruits: To become a full member of Vigilance, our officers are looking for recruits who are friendly and active. Any recruit is welcome and encouraged to join groups runs appropriate to their level. Grouping with us helps us get to know you and usually fast tracks your promotion. If grouping is not an option (usually the case with low level recruits) then we are looking for someone who both introduces themselves on the kinsite and joins in the in game chat/discussion. Some combination of these factors and 2+ weeks in the kin leads to
