Good luck to them I say, if they raise $50 and give it to one kid, things are still better than they were. I imagine they will do substantially better than that, though.

I have no idea why anyone would use this well-intentioned event to grind axes or impress everyone with their uber-cynical troll-for-effect routine. Just goes to show the gene pool badly needs lifeguards.

Speaking of goals, I hit my $700 goal over the weekend thanks to Sapience's help. Looks like y'all get to have me running around the office in my LARP costume and armor. Hopefully I don't scare Clover too badly by sitting behind her with all of that on.

Update!

$3300 as of this AM when I woke up.

A $500 donation from the Inklings Kinship on Meneldor server has put them in a commanding lead to have a lottery named after them. A lottery which will contain a Worn Symbol of the elder king and other goodies.

$250 is still the top individual donation that is leading for the Rohan Banner.

Now that we're past $3000 I'll get after the dev behind horse dev to join Hannah Foell (The LOTRO Producer who will be joining me in the community update wearing a dwarf beard),and myself, to reveal himself in an Community Update.

I'm working on the Horse shoe thing, but I've got to be honest, this is a big ask. A very, very big ask and content creators don't like to give up their secrets. If I had to put a bet down myself, this is unlikely to happen. But I will make every effort and challenge that person to come up with a number they think might change their minds.

In the mean time, the $5,000 goal is still firmly in place and we're just $1,700 away from my showing up on Brandywine as a greenie Reaver and schooling some Freeps!

A reminder again, all the titles will be sent out after the event on the 20th (so expect them around the following Monday or Tuesday), and you need only donate $1 to my page to get both titles (as they goals have already been met and the deal was everyone who donates by the 20th gets the titles). Just make sure you check the box that lets me see your email address so I can contact you with the info.

Also, very important, I have donors from all over the world so far so if you're wondering if you can still donate despite being outside the US, the answer is YES. And if you happen to win any of the things listed, since I am the one doing the shipping, I don't care where you live I'll make sure it reaches you.

I think it is very admirable that people take the time to do what they can to help out the less unfortunate and run little charity's like this that can make a big difference. Every little bit no matter if it's a penny to a thousand dollars. Between the people coming together as one it all stacks up. I have donated what i could and started my own raising but unfortunately it has not moved. And I want to personally thank everyone in the lotro community for helping out in their own ways and a special thanks to Sapience and the turbine team for all their efforts. GO LOTRO!
