Aragorn himself says so much to your character during the meet-up as well. It's absurd, but also the only way to not ruin Aragorn's surprised reaction when he sees Halbarad.
Also, to those who have a problem with repeat villains: I assume you also hate every Nazgûl fight we've had so far?

There's plenty of content soloers don't get to see - the excellent storylines within places like OD for example. A compromise would be to create a level 20 version of the raid, that even the least raid-savvy level 100 could solo (or maybe duo) their way through, as you can do with the Osgiliath instances - as long as that didn't impact them creating an excellent, well-written, well-thought out and challenging final fight for Gothmog.

I doubt Gothmog would ever be a raid boss. He's always traditionally be a 6-man boss.
Carn Dum and all the epic books in Volume I are always 6-mans.

I immediately noticed those as well. Turbine is never sloppy about those details, so they definitely mean something.
I thought the reveal had the opposite effect. TBH throughout Rohan and Gondor's epic story I've been kind of sleepwalking through. The Horn/Nona bits were interesting, but we already know what happens in the main story in these areas, so there wasn't much surprise. Then we show up in Osgiliath and discover that one of the main leaders of Sauron's army is someone our character has already faced before. Talk about upping the stakes!

I finally got caught up on the Epic quests and I love the epic line and Gothmog's reveal had me cheering! I had a bit of catching up to do. (since right before Helm's Deep) . I love how Helm's Deep played out. It really felt like I was there helping out. I also liked the reason the story line sent me to Gondor. Also, well done on the landscaping! All of the Gondor areas are awesome and Dol Amroth is breathtaking. I will stop now so I don't give anything away, but three cheers and some pipeweed for the epic line. I am excited to see what happens next!
