Just did this new quest and wonder: isn't the appearance of the person we meet there an anachronism? I mean, normally players quest West Rohan first and only than do sunken Isengard epics, don't they?

Btw, could you confirm please if any way of Bingo Badges farm is planned once the story ends? I'd like to see some sort of Reflection pool that allows you to repeat different Bingo's quest once a week and grant some additional Bingo Badges.

I think that's a great idea. A Bingo reflecting pool, 1 quest a week since the questline was 1 quest per week.
Have it in the Shire near Bingo's house

or make Bingo badges account-wide instead of per character.

edit: and also have a final Bert there too. He would have every barter item from all the zones. 1-stop shopping
and you would have to finish the original questline to be able to use the pool/Bert.

While adding 'Thoughts of Home' to the wiki, I was wondering if Mercy would have a different name and different things to say if Vol III Book 14 had not yet been completed. Would she still be Gun Ain maybe?
Are there any players that have done this quest without ever doing any of the quests she is involved with?

. Feasible I suppose but maybe the same can be said of Humphrey re him recognising us? Although he hasn't been such an integral character throughout the game. I suppose it is impossible to cover all scenario bases and there are times we just have to accept there may be characters that remember us but we can't remember them for the sake of immersion. Nice to see her back though, be interesting to see where this is leading.

I'll let you know. The alt character I currently have following Bingo hasn't done a single thing in Volume III. He still has the Prologue in his quest log. My main (hasn't started Bingo yet) would know her by her new name of course.

I have a related question after catching up with Bingo today. Will there be enough quests more to gain badges to buy the final rewards. If I get the snowy Bingo and the hatrack I will be broke and don't want to miss the next reward set if there are any.

Maybe the reflecting pool could be a book lying outside Bingo's house where he has written down his adventures?

I forgot about that. Excellent ii
I wonder if that's the plan since the beginning.

I do too. But the lag in Gondor would probably drive many players crazy with Bingo quests there. Mainly in the Minas Tirith/ Pelennor area. I think that is why Bingo is not going there. From Turbine's perspective.

Myself and one friend saw her as Mercy. Another that hasn't done that part of the epic yet didn't have her at all just a blonde named Woman for him. So guessing it does have something to do with if you have seen her previously.

I can confirm this. Just a blonde Woman. The quest text is different as well.

Edit: I should add that we have completed The Rite of Clucath so we know who Mercy starts out as. I'm guessing that she only shows up as Mercy if you've completed her entire story prior to completing this quest. That makes perfect sense. Prevents odd quest timing issues. Good on MoL for being this detailed.

A blonde? Gun Ain has always had dark hair with a silver streak in it, very distinctive.

Yes, because she's a completely different person. A Rohirric woman. It's more than just a name change. She actually shows up with Bingo at Grimslade instead of running off like Mercy apparently does. Unfortunately she really has nothing to say when she gets there.

You don't think perhaps it's because the Bingo quests were added to the game before Minas Tirith?

    OK, thanks for the info!
Did you, by any chance, catch the dialogue she gives when talked to at Marton and/or Grimslade?

I had this same issue when I did it on 5/12 (late) or 5/13 (very early a.m.). I went up and down that road several times, and he did NOT appear until I left the area and returned. Thought I was losing my mind! :/

I have a problem with the BB quest.

In the Brown Lands, killing the Easterlings wouldn't advance past 11/12. My loot was stuffed with secret orders (one per kill, I hate when they do that). Anyway, I dumped and destroyed the orders that were filling up my loot, in case that was the problem.

So I did that and the quest disappeared. Bingo no longer has a ring, and the quest is gone from my quest log.

How do I backtrack so I can proceed?

lvl 105, so this wasn't above level. Thank you for help

ETA I went back to Stangard and was able to get the quest again from Bingo. However, those secret orders all have to be taken and saved into lootbag inventory to complete the 12/12 task. Not sure why they don't stack or count-up remotely like other tasks. Especially since you only need one copy of the secret orders to bring back to Stangard.

    Update 18.1:

"Added a Bingo Reflecting Pool (called 'Bingo's Notes') to the bedside table in Boffin Manor. You'll need access to his home to use it (so Week 04 and after), and it'll let you replay all of the Bingo instances you've previously completed."

    Great!

8 instances so far, hopefully more in the future
and no badges or rewards, just a chance to replay some of the instances
and the instance i finished left me in the Westemnet instead of exiting back to Bingo's house.
