Considering that a fair number of people (me included) counted on an encore and hold on buying festival items, I think you should put the encore, even if just for a short time; and if you plan to change the policy of encores, please announce it in advance like "starting with next festival we will drop the festival encores tradition" so people can plan accordingly.

You can't count on an encore, because it is a bonus which was never promised. It's an additional thing which is not part of the regular calendar. And there are no "policy of encores" or wehre can I find them? Cordovan said a couple of times (even when the festival was still live) that it is difficult to have an encore this time and IF, it will be in summer 2019. If you hold back your festival items, it is you own fault because it was never confirmed that we will have one this time.

But it would be nice if we could have the Events Schedule for 2019. It's almost february...

    Skirmish Event

February 7th brings a new event: ‘Ill Omens’ to Skirmishes throughout the game! Evil stirs in Minas Morgul, and harbingers of the Dead City spread across Middle-earth! This time-limited event adds additional enemies and rewards to all Skirmishes in Lord of the Rings Online through March 11th. By completing a specific set of themed Skirmishes each day while the ‘Ill Omens’ event is active, you’ll earn a special currency you can exchange for new gear and cosmetic rewards. As for the most dedicated Skirmishers of Middle-earth, players who complete thirty of these quests will earn a powerful level-cap-statted reward.

    Um, hello?

    Is this thing still on?

    Is Lotro still on?

25% of the year is soon gone, what´s up with the missing Events Schedule? Are things so bad at SSG office that paid professionals can't commit to a low effort schedule to auto-turn pre-existing evens at specific intervals?

I'm dissapointed, too. Every year I am filling my calendar will all lotro events and 2019 I can't because of the missing schedule plan. That's really sad...

I know there are many who also like to plan ahead for Lotro Events! I keep checking back here... especially since I didn't get to spend all my Yule tokens, as I was assuming there would be an Encore. (Those tokens will have to wait until next year, I guess, b'cuz they are the most expensive to Exchange.) I WOULD like to know when Spring Fest. will be, as it is also one of my favourite Festivals. (And those tokens are the best for exchange.) Please let us know soon, so we can Plan for game time, accordingly! ~Thank you very much.

Just turn on a Yule Encore while you're working to update the new schedule. Make the Festive Spirit wrapper quests available again for Figments. This literally takes no effort as it's a pre-existing event, and does zero harm.

Many, myself included, would love to grind some more Figments in festival environment while waiting for new *real* information on upcoming festivals. If SSG is still an active company, that is. All of this extended silence is making me leery of spending my cash on Lotro, as it doesn't seem to be going towards game maintenance, by what it seems here.

Yule Encore would be ok for me though I almost enjoy the pause in festivals given the prices of last year's war steed cosmetics and the number of my chars to go through it.

I wouldn't mind having festivals this year without any new rewards (and all of the old rewards) to give people a chance to catch up and SSG a chance to concentrate on less grindy and buggy content that people would like to spend money on. I agree that this silence is somewhat troublesome.

Looking at the skirmish event I happen to have just one char with all skirms available and looking at the rewards and the number of skirms to complete the assaults that is all I care to run through it. I have no interest in speed run any chars to open up all skirms or try to get the assaults done with their limited choice available. Sorry. I had hoped for something like the Bouncer's Bounty?, perhaps even reactivating the rewards from that one again.
Even with no real interest in Minas Morgul on my side it might have been a chance to get people to work together to open up access to that region or something like that.

I too wish to know about the timing of the next festival, as it matters in planning for a music event if a festival is active at the same time. It's relevant to the choice of venue and even to the promotion of a concert.

I am also quite disappointed with the high costs of steeds and steed cosmetic items of late. Festivals are supposed to be fun, but the costs are getting just too high. Lately I can only get new festival steeds and war-steed cosmetics for perhaps two alts, and usually just one. The encores help a bit as I'm not forced to be there for the entire duration if I only want to get the few rewards I like best. As it has been lately, I can't even afford to get the last year's travel steed if I want the new version. Turning every event into just another tedious grind-athon requiring the commitment of many hours to get any desirable reward was one of the major factors for me to cancel my subscription and stop playing my prior MMO I used to enjoy. (I played it for nearly 10 years, and was actively subscribed for more than twice as long as I have been playing LOTRO.) I sincerely hope LOTRO won't proceed down the same path, although it seems to have already begun.

Exclamation Confirmed Issue - HotFix needed: Barrow Downs T3 Quest/Deed does NOT exist/advance

    Good morning -

Cordovan/Devs = CONFIRMED - in its current state, the Ill Omens x/19 Skirms deed does NOT work as intended, as Barrow Downs is a T1 ONLY skirm.

Today, Barrow Downs is on the Skirmish Event menu. I ran it at level 120 in a Small Fellowship (3 people), and indeed there is NO way to advance the x/19 Ill Omen Skirmish Deed (Tier 3) - the deed that requires you to complete the Ill Omen T3 quest at least once in all 19 of the existing skirms. This was already pointed out as a POTENTIAL issue since Barrow Downs can ONLY be run on T1 and the deed calls for T3. But I had hoped that the devs had built in some workaround already to address this obvious issue- i.e. perhaps for BD Survival only, the quest that pops up would have been for T1 only, not T3, but still advanced the deed. This is NOT the case.

Please fix. This event seems to be not very well tested.

    Thanks,
    Radian

They can easy turn it into x/18 Skrims deed. Not many players love BD Survival, and finding enough players even for T1 can be hard, I even don't talk about T3. Or maybe they don't know what BD Survival different from other skrimish and don't have T3?

The Events Schedule has been updated! While the schedule includes a rough outline of the year, it's missing some bonuses later in the year, and the exact start and end dates become less trustworthy the further out it goes. Expect some minor changes to start and end dates perhaps as we look beyond the summer.

So no repeat of Winterhome/Frostbluff. Boo hiss! I thought more people were in favor of it than not. It sure seems like you scramble around looking for ways to disappoint the maximum number of people.

Please bring the encores back. They harm no one and they benefit many whose real - life schedules cannot fit enough regular festival times.
