“Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay; Small acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? Perhaps because I am afraid, and he gives me courage.” ~J.R.R. Tolkien
Can this combined Farmer's/Summer festival please be extended due to these server issues? I've now missed out on 2 days playing this festival as every 5 minutes the game freezes and I have to log out. It's almost impossible to get 1 quest completed at this point.![]()
The Farmers Faire has been extended through September 14th, being turned off at 3:00 AM Eastern on September 15th.

Maybe I should've included my reason for asking...
On page 1 of the Events Schedule, Cord only changed the end date for Farmer's Faire and not Summer Fest. I do think it's just an oversight but I wanted to make sure xD
Summer Festival 8/20/20@10am 9/7/20@3am
Farmer's Faire 8/20/20@10am 9/15/20@3am

The Summer Festival has been incorporated into the Farmers Faire, and the Farmers Faire is now both events (and likely to expand in the future). I kept the old Summer Festival on the schedule so people would know the events are still there, but yeah, forgot to add to its date as well. Technically, though, it is just the Farmers Faire.
Thanks for clarifying, Cord!

Hello! I wanted to update everyone on a few things:
- The Tale of the Shipwrecked Mariner is this weekend! Runs through Sunday, September 20th.
- Baggins' Birthday starts tomorrow! Begins on Friday, September 18th 10am Eastern and runs through September 23rd.
- We are shifting out the start date for the Harvestmath Festival. We'll have its start and through time listed in the future.
- The Durin's Day event remains on schedule and will not change regardless of what ends up being done with Harvestmath.
Harvestmath is my all-time favorite. I just wish we could get those Skeleton and Ghost npc outfits. And I Don’t know what your are doing with the dates for this festival but please don’t shorten it.

Yes, yes, I'm sure there is a reason (perhaps not a good one, however). But when a festival is tied so much to a RL theme (Halloween), it should not be running on for weeks AFTER the RL holiday is over. IMO, this is the only one so tightly tied to RL holiday themes (Winterhome is about WINTER, not Christmas, and so can run on for a long time, as long as it's still winter in RL). I was not happy to have the summer festival and farmers' faire squished together (and cutting down on the length of festival time by making it just one all run together). Now this. Seriously, do you TRY to mess things up?

There's no info on the Curator. So far they've only admitted to swapping M. Mint with Filbert Fig when the expansion comes (and no, there's no official ETA on that either). If the Curator comes together with Fig, before or after, it's all guess work.
Like it happened for Summer Fest, the reason again is that they didn't have time to put any work in it. I'm personally ok with the delay as long as we get new stuff.Yes, yes, I'm sure there is a reason (perhaps not a good one, however).

The harvest festival delay is a bummer, but any new content to be carried forth to future iterations of the festival (i.e. quests, deeds and such) is entirely worth doing right the first time. I'll eagerly anticipate what is to come, with whatever degree of patience that is required, as long as there is some basic understanding that these delays are for genuine content, and not for some microtransaction-hell.
Cordilocks (as my friend Oz would say), any chance you guys picked a new date for Harvestmath?![]()

Would also like to know when the Harvest festival will be scheduled back in. It's my favourite festival, and it's October now, the fest got removed from the schedule two weeks ago, please can we find out when it will be on before people start speculating that you're just not bothering with it this year?

Thank you for your patience while we worked out our schedule for Harvestmath this year. The Harvestmath Festival will run starting at 10am Eastern on October 27th and turn off at 3am Eastern on November 23rd.
