Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Age: 41
Location: EST (I play on Vilya)
Playstyle: Solo, but also enjoy group quests when I have time.
MMO games you’ve played: UO, LOTRO
What do you offer kinships?: Crafting, maturity, no drama, experience, 2 chars over L60.
What kind of kinship you are looking for.: Relaxing, mature group (NO drama please…I have teenage children that provide me with 100% of the RDA), helpful, no pressure, and respects the fact that I have a wife, kids and a demanding job so I may not be on every day and when I am, I may not be able to participate in every instance or event. Kin website for out of game contact would be great!
LOVED the last kin I was with, but it is no more. Not enough members or something along those lines I guess. They remembered above all else that it’s a game, not a part-time job.
PM me with info!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Canthar, man
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) If you think maturity is based on age don't even bother to PM me
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Landroval (is that what it's called?)
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): CT, but my sleep schedules are really messed up so I don't really care what time the majority of the kinship plays at
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Well, I'm really new, but once I get to a high enough level to pvp, I will. Pvp is my first priority, but after that I will do anything as long as it's entertaining
MMO games you’ve played: SWG, Swgemu (does that count?) WoW, EVE
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a pretty mature person, I've got mmo experience, and I'll do anything as long as it passes the time. If I grow to like LOTRO, I will most likely be on all day every day.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Anything active, I want pvp but like I said I'm a really low level right now.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hi all! I hope this forum helps me find the kin that meets all my kin-needs and desires. ;)
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Swifthawke, (wo)Man
Age: 24
Preferred server: Brandywine
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): West Virginia, USA (Eastern Time Zone)
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
Ah! Okay, so, I've been playing solo to small group a lot. I enjoy groups. I'm not entirely sure what RAIDs are. I don't think I want to PvP.. I don't know what end-game is. I would love crafting help. I'm fairly low level (level 29 burglar).. I'm a pretty casual player, but I like getting #### done when I'm online.
MMO games you’ve played: I've never played any longterm (didn't have the capabilities); I played a couple of text based mmo's growing up - I don't think they're still around.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I think this question operates best in conjunction with the next question - to any kin that is what I describe below, I'll fit in well and be an outstanding kintizen (a play on citizen - ah ah? funny?). I'm loyal to kins/guilds. Guild loyalty is a problem I've seen a lot. I want to make friends in the OOC world of the kin, play alongside members, and contribute to the growth of a kin I love. I can recruit the hell out of people. ;D I plan to play longterm and feel like I'd be a valuable asset.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I'm listing a ton of things I'd LIKE to see, but I realize that being too picky will get me no where. I'm happy to check out things that sound even remotely like what I'm talking about.
First of all, I want some sort of an adult friendly or adult based kin. I don't want to be harassed by censors because I've said "####" or I'm talking with kin-mates about irl things - beer, broads, and all. ;D
I would like a kin that has an active member base, but isn't SO large that I'm not able to make any friendships.
The kin must be accustomed to taking newer and lower level members - at level 29 I still have a lot to learn.
Extracurriculars in the kin would be fun - RP groups, musical groups, etc.
GAME PLAY - I want to learn more about all the different things to do in LOTRO other than just solo/group questing. Raids? Yeah, that sounds like fun, teach me, kinmates.
Support - If I have 100 hides laying around in my vault, I want to be able to give them to a fellow kinmate; I hope to see the same sort of activity by others
(and totally not important, but if there is a Brony kin, I'd LOVE it! xD)
Thanks for taking the time to read, guys! I'm really excited to hear what's out there for me! <3

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm hoping to find an GLBT friendly kin, not necessarily as a focus point of their activities but as a friendly community. I enjoy the social aspects of MMO's so I'm hoping that there are generally a few people online at least during peak hours. I'm new to the game so a kin that is open to teh newbz would be helpful (I don't expect help levelling by any means but if people are levelling alts it could be fun to tag along).
Why kinships should be interested in you: As mentioned, I enjoy the social aspect of MMO's, whether that means raiding, crafting, parties, questing, etc. I'm generally up for it. While I doubt I'll be much help off the start, I hope to contribute to the guild as a whole once I'm of a more suitable level.
Name: Rolric - Hobbit Hunter - level 14 (just trying one out to learn the game)
Age: 26
Preferred server(s), if any: I'm currently on Vilya but open to alternatives!
Location: West coast - PST - Canada
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): PVE, raiding, casual, social. I'm new to the game.
MMO games you’ve played: WoW, SWTOR, RIFT, EQ2 and Lineage II.
Cheers,
Rolric

Friendly reminder to posters here - check your messages for contact from kinships.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character: Runarth, an Elf Hunter of Mirkwood
Age:19
Preffered server:Arkenstone
Playstyle:solo but I'd like being in fellowships or groups, i just don't know anyone.
mmo games:lotro (of course), World of Warcraft, Evony.
why kinships should be interested: I'm not immature but I know how to have fun. I'm respectful and always try to offer/take advice. If anyone in the same kinship as me needed help with a quest, a boss, or anything really I'd be happy to lend a hand.
kinship I'm looking for: I'd like an RP but really I just want to belong to a group, I've been playing lotro for a while now and I'd like to go on fellowship quests and raids but mainly I want to be able to talk to friends and comrades while online.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: Aryanthil 31 Elf Minstrel - Elendilmir
Age: 38
Location: USA; EST timezone.
Playstyle: Mostly play in a Fellowship with my husband, but I also enjoy playing in instances/fellowships with other players. I really enjoy being a Healer/Minstrel, but I'm a little overwhelmed with very large groups. I'm new to MMOs (I've been playing LOTRO for about a year), so I'm still learning.
MMO games you’ve played: this is the first one.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm an adult and I think we can all learn to play like adults. I'm open minded and will always be willing to take advice from others and follow directions in groups. Since my husband and I have 4 kids, I know how to multi-task. :) I'm very laid-back.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a kinship with mature people. To me, mature doesn't mean a certain age, it means people who don't act like children. My husband and I usually play on weekend afternoons and some weeknights. Casual is key! I want to find a kinship that is friendly and has a big enough membership. I want to take the time to get to "know" some of the other members. I would hate to make the investment of getting to know people, and then the kinship dies. A functional website is a must. A kinship that will help it's members is a must. I would really love it if I could get some pointers/tips on how to be a better Minstrel.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character name: Kinthelt
Age: 33
Server: Brandywine
Race/Class/Level: Level 15 Minstrel Hobbit
Timezone: Central
Playstyle: I guess I'd be classified as a casual, since I only game for an hour or two before I go to bed. Would like to group a bit with some regulars.
MMO games I've played: Just this one, when it first came out. Just re-created my character the other day and enjoying the free play (will probably go VIP when I need to leave the free areas). I also have also played fairly hardcore on some MUDs for the last few decades.
What kind of kinship I'm looking for: No RP, not looking for crafting. Mostly following the main quest line (and interesting side quests for items/xp).

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character: Derrant, Man, Burglar
RL Age: 43 (act like I'm 12 :p )
Server: Gladden
RL Location: USA, East Coast
Playstyle: Solo for the most part. Hence my choice in character class. I have two places (RL) I can play.
Most every weekday I get into the office early (7-9 am EST) and can game over broadband, but it's on a PC that's just at the recommended specs for LOTRO and has several programs that must run at the same time. It behaves itself for the most part, but I can get bad lag at the darnedest of times because the CPU has to "catch up." This will someday be resolved when we decide to upgrade the office with newer PCs, but for now.... If it's a slow day, I can game during business hours (I'm the IT person...ha ha).
After hours (4-7 pm) and weekends (if I don't have other things I need to do) I operate on an i7 rig that has no issue with the program, but I'm limited to dial-up. I would like to have broadband access, but if I was any more rural the data packets would be sent by carrier pigeon. Ironically, and much to my pleasant surprise, I have hardly any lag issues once I've been logged in for a couple of minutes...unless I'm in a big town like Bree.
On both PCs I can turn on voice and HEAR others, but I don't have a working mic to talk, and I'm not sure if dial-up will handle both voice and gaming without increased lag issues. I do know from looking at my connection box that I'm really doing a lot of data DL over dial up at home.
Because I can't camp out on the PC to play with others and my time to play (while somewhat consistent) is erratic and limited, I'm inclined to do everything solo. To this end, I created two other characters (now at or just over L20) to be support characters (and experiment with different classes). While my man burglar is a scholar/weaponsmith/farmer. My hobbit minstrel is a cook/jeweler/prospector, and my dwarf guardian is a forester/prospector/tailor.
I'm also somewhat OCD. I'm driven to do EVERYTHING in one map area and only then move on to the next. Currently I'm trying to finish off quests in two map regions (North Downs and Lone-Lands) that require fellowships to complete, and once I'm done with all of those, I'll pay for the next section of the map and start working at doing everything there.
I don't mind helping out others because I know how it feels to need a fellowship to get something done and not be able to find anyone willing to help, but you gotta get me when I have the time and am not currently tied up in something of my own. Derrant has multiple milestone slots which are used to teleport across the game world (if it's far away). If you want to do group stuff, it helps to let me know in advance so I can plan for it. I hate to sound like an old fart, but I go to bed at 8 pm most nights (as I get up at 5 am). It's not that I can't stay up late, but it's not something I can do often. Hence the need to plan in advance.
MMO games you’ve played: I tried WoW, but didn't want to pay every month for something. Someone pointed me to LOTRO as a "free" alternative, and I'm loving it...of course, I've probably spent too much on TBs already (LOL). Non MMO games that I enjoyed include Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.
Why kinships should be interested in you: Well, in spite of being a burglar, I've maxed my stats with tomes, and I focus on getting good weapons and armor. I handle myself quite well in a fight. As a scholar, I feel my ability to make morale-restoring potions is an asset. If you bring me the ingredients, I don't mind making them. In fact, the ability to make my own moral-restoring potions was the key reason I picked that occupation group. I know my minstrel cook can make some stuff if I grow the needed ingredients, but I've not messed around too much with that as I've not needed anything more than what the potions can do for my main character.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: One with a really cool name like "Men Who Stare Inappropriately At Goats." (LOL) On a more serious note, I'm not sure. To me, my only gripe about gaming with groups is a lack of strategy, discipline or tactical know-how. I enjoy fellowshipping on a quest (or a raid) with people who can appreciate the importance of letting one person direct the group, letting one person pick the current target, and not rushing in blind or running around/away as to attract 20 bad guys who dive in and jump on everyone's bones...sending us all back the rally point. I also appreciate a group that stops BEFORE a quest and makes sure everyone is clear on the goals and specifics of what's about to go down so everyone kicks butt and walks away with lots of loot and every quest objective fulfilled. Otherwise LOTRO might as well just set up a fight club.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character Names: Alemir (warden), Alemyrth (minstrel), Ozgarde (burglar), Draanthir (loremaster), Dhugan (champion) - all under level 15 at the moment, as I just started playing a few days ago.
Age: 44
Preferred server: Larelin - I prefer roleplaying-enforced, not because I want to speak in olde English, but more for the absence of some of the silliness that goes on on standard servers in many games.
Location: USA; EST
Playstyle: I prefer to group and raid (though I don't typically approach the latter in any sort of hard core fashion). That said, I have no trouble soloing when time constraints dictate it.
MMORPG's I've Played: EQ, WoW, EQ2, Star Wars Galaxies, EQ, DDO, EQ, Vanguard, Horizons, EQ, Age of Conan, EQ, Rift, SW:ToR and back to EQ again.
Why kinships should be interested in me: I may be an altaholic, and I may be a slow leveler (I tend to "waste" time on silly stuff like crafting, exploring, etc.), but I am also very loyal and guild/kin focused. I enjoy participating in kin events and providing whatever assistance I can to help others in my kin. Everyone likes getting their "shinies" - I'm no exception - but I also enjoy being part of the effort that helps someone else accomplish their goals/milestones as well.
What kind of kinship am I looking for: I would like to find a group of people who check their gaming egos at the door, who are interested in playing their class and digging into all that Tolkien's world has to offer, who detest the drama so often associated with gaming guilds, who aren't in any sort of race for much of anything and, above all, who just enjoy playing together.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character Name: Eadathor (plus many more)
Age: 30
Server: Elendilmir
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Playstyle: PvP, but in LotRO to PvE obviously. Smaller raiding, etc.
Previous MMO's: Vanguard, LotRO, Eve, Shadowbane, Warhammer, Aion, Rift, SWTOR, SWG, Age of Conan, and not WoW :)
Myself, and another 5+ players (all online and RL friends) are looking for an Australian Kinship with a play time between 4pm and 1am AEDST, and longer on the weekends. We've all played to near L65 on other characters in the past with another Australian Kinship, but after a long hiatus from LotRO we've returned to be left on our own.
Please contact either myself or "Chooks" in-game between 4pm and 1am AEDST if you would be interested in having us.

Looking for a Kinship
Hi! My character's name is Lynndal and she's a level 17 Elf Champion. I am 43, and I play on the Arkenstone server in the Eastern time zone. I am usually on in the evenings during the week, and throughout the day on the weekends. I guess that I would consider myself a solo, casual player. I have only been playing a little over a week, and I am still learning the game. I'm interested in joining a mature guild that can help me advance in the game. I have noticed that the further I get, the quests get harder and there are a couple that I just can't complete by myself. So knowing that I have somewhere to turn for help would be great! I think that I could be an asset to a guild because I am very guild loyal and even though I sometimes prefer solo play, I am a team player. I hate drama, so you won't get any here. You can also call on me anytime to assist other players, if I can. I know having help can make a big difference in any game, and I am always willing to do what I can to help others advance. If there is anything else you would like to know, please ask! Thanks for your consideration, and I hope to hear from you soon if I sound like a good candidate for your guild.

Lynndal,
I know where you are coming from and understand you may have already found a Kinship to your liking since the above post. I am extending an invitation to search a little about a new-New-Player Kinship named Middle Earth Militia. Here is one of a few forum links already posted about us:
http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...-Earth-Militia
While we are still small, there is a progressiveness that seems to be providing a solid foundation for a stable Kinship that should last indefinately. We have members from the USA, Sweden, and Netherlands, as of this reply. A glance at our new website and noting the names in our current Kinship Roster will help you track us down in game via /tell or mail.
http://mem.guildlaunch.com
Peace,
~ Fyreflye
I hope you fiind/have found a home and that your journey "there and back again" will be fun and exciting! No drama, no feeling lonely, no rush to do-it-all but moving forward at a steady pace! ;)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hello, I am a rather new player to LOTRO but I have played many other MMO's so I am not completely new to this type of game. I am a level 18 elf rune keeper, and am looking for a kinship that can help me move along. I do not know anybody that plays LOTRO so whenever I get stuck on a quest I have to go figure another way to do it because I can never find anyone to help me. So one of my big things in a kinship is people that would help me do quests, and in return I can help others do quests. I am not really a high enough level to do much but once I get high enough I would like to participate in pvpm and raids and all that kind of stuff.
Thanks

If you mention your server, I think you're likely to find a friendly, helpful kin ready to welcome you. There are lots of them in Lotro. Welcome to Middle Earth.

Hi all looking for a good place to start playing again been away a while and looking for a good EU server to play on.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character name and race (if known): Ardulfryn, Loremaster.
Age: Actually 26, grey hair says 40+
Preferred server : Brandywine
Location : I'm actually in Scotland, but play in the east coast prime time and at other hours which are 'odd' over here.
Playstyle: Social, Casual, interested in grouping.
MMO games you’ve played: The usual offenders. WoW, TOR, EQ2, SWG, AoC, etc etc.
What do you offer kinships?: My sense of humour, the fact that very little bothers me, and I'll go out of my way to help a friend.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: One that doesn't care if I tell a mature joke, one that has my back, a kin that is all about fun.
-
Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: Thanardir in Laurelin Server
Age: 22
Location: Greece
Playstyle: Solo most of the time, but participating on many instances and raids
MMO games you’ve played: Wow, Lotro
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a kinship in which the members will be active a lot there and will help a lot. Also im very interesting on raids and instances and im searching a kinship in which the members will do a lot of them!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I'm a rather casual playing premium/f2p player. I have 9 characters, one of each class spread around Gilraen and Snowbourn. I made sure I have something for each role on each server.
*Gilraen: guardian, minstrel, champion, loremaster
*Snowbourn: burglar, runekeeper, hunter, captain, warden
The plan is to have them all leveled to cap sometime, but so far only the guardian has reached that level. Most of the others haven't even reached level 20. I take my time for leveling, and usually read the quest dialogues completely. There is no urgency.
Of course I'm planning to make use of the TP's from deeds, to unlock more content. I already have Evendim, Angmar, Misty Mountains, Eregion, Moria, Lothlorien, Mirkwood and Dunland. As you can probably see, I've unlocked all instances except Fornost, Inn of the Forsaken, Halls of Night and Roots of Fangorn. The problem is that many of them I have never even started (on my lvl 75 guardian), and I want to try those as well. The only raid I ever did (completed) is turtle.
I'm looking for a kin, which can help me group, and learn to do it better. My playtime is limited and irregular (school work, girlfriend, ...). You can't count on me for a weekly instance run or similar. But I am mostly in for some random grouping if I am online. A big kinship with regular random grouping, or with lots of chatting while soloing, fits best with my play style. I'd like to make fun when I have time for it, without any activity rules placed on characters. When kin rules force me to change me doing what I do, I usually don't see the fun anymore. There are things more important as an online game.
In return I'd like to share whatever I know about the game to help newer people if they need. I usually know rather well what is going to happen in updates (dev diary's, patch notes, forum posts) and don't mind sharing it.
If your kinship has place for someone like me, please send a PM/IM.

Looking for a Kinship
My name: I have a few characters already on Laurelin-RP server, But for now just call me Zen. I have a Hobbit Minsterel, a Man Captian, and an elf hunter.
Age: I am 22 years
Servers: Like I said I'm currently on Laurelin, but I can move around for a kinship that suits me.
Location: I live in Washington, and I'm on PST time zone
Playstyle: I prefer pve atm, and I'm looking for friends to rp with, I'm also interested in starting on pvp.
MMO games you’ve played: I've played EQ, EQ2, Warhammer, WoW, RIFT, DDO, Matrix, SWO(the old one), Perfect world, Maplestory, and a few others.
Why kinships should be interested in you: Well, I'm a fun person, I love helping out and I really enjoy playing with people. I'm really looking forward to some group fun ^^
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I am looking for a kinship that wants to talk, relax and play casually, One that touches on every aspect of the game and enjoys players that are casual and friendly. I am really looking to Role-play in the Lord of the rings setting, while still being able to level and gain strength.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hey, just joined a little while ago and am looking for a Kinship.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Aewarvorn (Elven Hunter) is my main character so far, and I really haven't had time to make any others yet.
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) 19
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): I've been playing Firefoot so far, and Nimrodel as well. Firefoot is my preferred server so far.
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): North American Eastern Time Zone
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): Mostly solo, but I'd love to do groups/fellowships for instances/skirmishes. Or just to explore and level up.
MMO games you’ve played: Just WOW so far. I have played a lot of RPG's though, if that makes any difference.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Well, I like to play the game. :D I'm very patient as well, and will generally agree with where the group decides to go. Also, I've logged a lot of hours on this game so far, and hope to log many more, so I'll be an active player. That's really all I have to offer so far though.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Mostly social/casual groups. I don't want to feel pressured to act a certain way just because I'm in a kinship.
Thanks!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Char Names: I have several. Marid & Svartagi on Landroval, Marid on Melendor, Areli & Caranalagos on Riddermark. I do consider Landroval my home server at present with only Marid on Melendor being over 30 off of it.
Age: 29
Preferred server(s): Landroval would be nice as I have a 71 Maxed out jeweler & a tailor that is well on his way (supreme atm)... but in truth, I have no qualms with restarting so long as the kinship in question is solid an will be here for a long time to come.
Location: Eastern timezone, USA.
Playstyle: I solo a lot, it's how I spend a great deal of my time in game. However, it's also the primary reason I stopped playing LoTRO a while back (apart from hating radiance gear. :P). Grouping up is something I'm usually up to, all it takes is someone to ask usually, I will ask myself at times too. I'm not opposed to Raiding, truthfully, I do enjoy it... so long as it isn't like the last few guilds I've been in spread over 3 different games. They get there... get slaughtered over and over, whether I'm in group or not. I have no problems with Raiding, but I would prefer a guild that IS successful at it. I'm also in that breed between hardcore and casual. I expect myself to know my class, to know my builds and be able to help others. However, I don't have the time or ability to dedicate 3+ days a week to raiding-- let alone the desire to, lol.
My classes of choice are: Champion, Guardian, Rune-Keeper, Warden or Hunter. As you can see, DPS & Tanking are my preference, even if I have extensive healing experience. I -would- be willing to heal, but only as an RK.
MMO games you’ve played: My first MMO was Asheron's Call. In the years since then I have played many, many MMOs, including LoTRO from about a month after launch for 3 solid years.
Kinship Interests: To sum everything up:
I'm looking for a progressive guild; this means you're making progress and doing endgame successfully. I would also be willing to join a kinship that has experienced leadership with endgame content. I do solo a bit and I am a crafter by heart, assuming I move from Landroval, I have no idea what crafts I will take up, however I will take at least one.
Above that... it bugs me logging in and having 10-20+ people on and no one says ANYTHING in the kinchat for hours on end. So, a somewhat talkative kinship would be enjoyed, but not a top priority.
If I relocate from Landroval, it would be preferable to join a kinship that can aid me in getting started. I do NOT mean handouts, but rather helping out with some of the more annoying areas in the game, etc. I can handle the leveling process quite well on my own. ^_^
Other Info:
LoTRO has always held a special place for me, perhaps why it bothered me when I ended up leaving because I could never find a solid group/kinship to run with. I started playing LoTRO about a month after the release of Shadows of Angmar and I played regularly (almost fanatically at times) over the next 3 years. I took a break, then came back and played some more. I struggled on inside of Moria and eventually Mirkwood for a while, but I got very sick of not being able to get any of the radiance needed to move up to the next step. It sucked, lol.
Thankfully, Radiance is no longer an issue. However, it doesn't mean I want to end up in another Eventide... where the people are nice, but no one can successfully run anything, either.
----------
Anyway, thanks. Feel free to drop Marid or Svartagi a mail/tell in game if you're on Landroval, or contact me via PM here otherwise.

MMO games you’ve played: this'un
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: casual player and person. easy going just like to have fun. i dont get into all the video game drama #### that seems to raise its head in these worlds lol. just like to have friends, fun, and sexy parties.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): easy giong fun groups. ive not been on for a very long time, but my old kin was great like that. no one took themselves to seriously like me. so far as a noob i enjoy hunting/crafting most and would like to find a kin that i would fit well in that support role or to make monies.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
Returning player looking for a new start.
VIP and Lifetime Membership
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits)
30+
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
NA West Coast, evening PST mostly
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
All aspects except maybe RP, not very good at it.
MMO games you’ve played:
DAoC, SWG, WoW, Darkfall, Warhammer, Rift, SWTOR, etc.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Team player, easy going, mature and respectful.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
An active kinship to enjoy the game with.
-
Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name: Damojo
VIP member, currently base game and Moria purchased
5 characters
Elf Hunter 58 Emptyglas (Moria, just finishing) Tailor Supreme
Dwarf Guardian 51 Damojo (Moria, just starting) Woodworker Supreme
Man Warden 30 Yahmzit (currently crafting) Metalsmith Supreme
Man Loremaster 36 Theobram (currently crafting) Scholar Supreme
Dwarf Hunter 34 Gallugserk (currently crafting) Jeweller Supreme
Age:30+ quite a bit
Location. UK, on at strange hours, night/early mornings mostly, Gladden
Playstyle: Solo. Not remotely interested in power levelling, love Tolkien's world and intend to enjoy it. However, don't want a kinship where I need to dress up and speak fluent Elf to play either. Would like to have a kinship available for advice and fellowship quests, understand that this is a two way street and will be expected to help others out too.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Team player, easy going, mature and respectful. Good sense of humour. Potty trained. Or maybe just potty. I'll grind Sarnur for rep items every week if its required, don't mind pulling my weight. Complete novice at fellowship play, tuition with a whip and chair may be required, but once I've got the hang of it I'll be game.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
Seeks active kinship for fun and maybe more. I'm no power leveller, not interested in the team of 13 players killing 2 wargs. Ideally would like a fairly undemanding but active kinship which enjoys the game without either getting too serious, or totally trashing the world of Tolkien to accumulate points. Need plenty of "me" time to enjoy the game. Yes I know, I'm difficult.
Posting here as I have steadfastly ignored every request to join kinships which normally happened just as I was getting up close and personal with a mob. A kinship needs more than "hey wanna join a kinship" squeaked to a perfect stranger to interest me. Why would I join a kinship I know nothing about?
Likes: Everything, I love this game. Not tried PvP but everything else is coochy in my book. favourite zone Eregion (so far) but liking Moria (yes I know, I'm still difficult)
Dislikes: Teams of ejuts banging through a zone killing everything and not looting (its just rude), bad language, disrespectful people, people who take themselves and the game way too seriously, orcs, ruddy crows and bats (just there to annoy players IMHO)
What makes me laugh: The goats sound effect on mount and dismount (never fails), Lynx sneak attack (ditto)
Favourite moments so far: Watching my dwarf kick a troll in the pills and knock it on its back, first views inside Moria, Rivendell/Trollshaws ambient music, summoning bears, goats, sneak attacks (yes I know, but they are both so funny!!)

Your name, or character name and race: Ohreno Trippin, Hobbit Burglar.
Age: 20
Preferred Server: Brandywine
Location: Malta, Europe (CET)
Playstyle: Solo, group, PvE. Mostly a casual gamer, and since relatively new to the game have not yet tried out any hardcore gaming yet.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I am looking for a kinship which is always willing to lend a hand in fellowship quests (all levels), instances and raids (have not been in a raid yet). I am a Supreme Scholar (having mastered all previous tiers), and am willing to offer my help whenever needed. I am looking for a casual kinship that is serious about the game, but is flexible with it's members due to busy schedules outside of the game.
Thank you for your consideration.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Borisinborough. Man Guardian, level 43 + 4 alts.
Age: 54
Preferred Server: Gladden
Location: UK. Mostly mornings and evenings.
Playstyle: Happy soloing, but would like to play with fellowships more often. bad experiences with PUGs. I also play some DDO, and Renaissance Kingdoms for five years, so I would like to explore RP possibilities here, although I have little idea about how it happens. I'd like to join a mature, well-established kinship, to develop relationships in-game. External website would be preferred. I would like to extend my gaming options here, and feel a little less like a one man band. Please contact me in-game, as I seldom check the forums as yet.

58 Ranger on Nimrodel
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Curuadann, Elf Ranger - 58 (plus a bunch of alts from 25 - 45 including Min, Capt, Champ, War)
Age: 44
Preferred server(s), if any: Nimrodel
Location: Oregon, USA (Pacific Time Zone) Noon - 5:00 PM GMT (7p - Midnight PST)
Playstyle: Solo, group, RAIDs, casual, time limited, lots of different stuff. Not really into crafting but will gladly help if needed.
Why kinships should be interested in you: Well, I don't really know why. I am just looking for a kinship to play with other players from different parts of the world. How about I play nicely with others and I like cookies. I have a good sense of humor.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Mature players that are casual and folks that like helping new players. I am happy solo'ing, but miss the interaction with others. And, let's face it...there are just some epic quests that you have to have help with.
-
Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Server: Brandywine
Name/Race/Class/Level: Lindfeld, Level 46 Human Hunter (no alts right now...seems too daunting to start over)
Age: 43
Location: California, USA (GMT-8)--mostly evenings and weekends.
Character Profession: Historian (Master Scholar, with Supreme Master just opened up | Weaponsmith: nothing yet, but I'll be working both scholar and weaponsmith until I'm maxed out).
Playstyle: I mostly solo, with occasional and usually small fellowships. I'm married and I work full time. And although I've been playing a lot recently, there are spousal pressures that will probably cause me to curtail my gameplay somewhat.
Why a Kin should be interested in me: Crafting will probably be my biggest selling point. I'm motivated to max out my crafting skills (weaponsmith, scholar) in order to equip myself properly. But I'd like to be able to crank out production for others in the kin too. Also possibly of note: I'm not trying to rush my character to level as quickly as possible. I'm attempting to make a deep and wide character when it comes to skills/deeds, equipment, and crafting. I can't make the claim that I'm doing all of that just right, but that is my goal. And so, I'm hopeful that, when compared with other Hunters at my level, I'll hold my own.
Why I'm interested in a kinship: Crafting, Raiding, and Socializing. Crafting: I've been burning through the gold buying scholar mats at the AH, and frankly, I'm jealous when I set the "kin only" filter and see how inexpensively some of the items are sold. I want in on that action...and of course, that cuts both ways. Toward that end, I would think that one of the larger kins would be nice. Raiding: I have never participated in a raid, and the thought is a little intimidating. I'd like for someone to show me the ropes when it comes to Raids, and I'd like to get up to speed so that I can be a beneficial member of a raiding group, and not a charity case. Socializing: as I mentioned, sometimes I don't feel much like socializing, but that modifier 'sometimes' means that on other occasions, I'd like to talk to some people, whether it's gameplay talk, political talk (watch out!), cooking, general interest, whatever. You know what else I want? This sounds really nerdy, but I want a sense of belonging with a group of relaxed adults. I'm stealing something I saw in a thread in this forum. Another prospective kinmate said words to this effect: I'm an adult, and I act as such. I'm not the guy to get in a flame war, or to troll the chat channels for sport. At the same time, I hope I'm not old and dull (man yells at cloud).
Summary: I'm looking for a casual, crafting-related, mutually-helpful adult kinship, of a minimum size to support my crafting habit (both inbound and outbound).
Thank you.
(edited to add: yes, my join date is March 12th. However, I've been here before. I signed up in....I think it was 2007, got level 64, I think, with a Guardian. My sons took over that account, stripped my guardian, left him in a ditch, and fenced all his gear. So I can't say that I have a great depth of experience, but it is greater than what's indicated by my new join date).

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Server: 'Astelur' on Meneldor, but willing to start a new character on any other server
Location: Pacific US (GMT -8)
Age: 32
Playstyle: Solo or Group, PvE, Crafting, Casual
I haven't played long, having tried LOTRO last year and then having life get in the way. I recently picked it up again.
I'm in no way an MMO veteran: this is the first MMO I've spent more than a month on though I've played a lot of single player RPGs.
I've only played solo so far but feel that's not how a game like this ought to be played. I'm looking for a kinship that has mature players who can help make this game more fun for me. I'm interested both in questing and in crafting and am willing to pay it forward by assisting newer folks as they join up.
I'm not looking for a group with fixed gaming times; life outside of gaming does impact my ability to be online often enough!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Psy, 32 Dwarven Minstrel

MMO games you’ve played: You name it, chances are I've played it
Why kinships should be interested in you: I'm just a really laid back guy who likes socializing and grouping up to take on challenges. I like to help others whenever I can which is why I play a Minstrel.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm just looking for a mature, fun group of people to play with. I'm newly into the game after not playing since launch so patience would be appreciated.

MMO games you’ve played:

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I don't think they should "choose me and not another player"... I don't want to weigh down a kinship. I think they should want to choose me, and we just enjoy talking and each others company. I don't think it should be as difficult as asked. :) I'm a casual player.
What kind of kinship you are looking for:
Social, helpful, and talkative. A place I can call home, pretty much. I don't know much about the game so far, but I am eager to learn :D

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Really friendly, willing to learn new content and aid others attain their goals.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): A kinship that has EU members, doing content from GMT 4pm - midnight GMT 0 (11am EST to 7pm EST), a kinship with active leaders promoting interaction and pushing new content in a timely fashion, also revisiting old content for deeds and alts.
Being on a NA server and residing in the UK, it is hard to group consistently, unless I raid at 2am my time.
Will consider server transfer for my two mains at first, just really want to get knee deep in raids / fellowships in the evenings UK time.

MMO games played: A little bit of UO long time ago, LoTRo is the first I play constantly.
What about me: I'm an adult and I espect other in kinship to be adult too. I know I don't have any experience with MMO world in general, so I have to learn a lot. I'm not the kind of person that argue over pointless stuff, I enjoy a good laugh and don't mind jokes. Since I'm new to this MMO world I know nearly nothing about raiding or hardcore endgame. I play for fun and with my pace, I really like enjoying the world I'm playing in. I can follow orders specially when doing stuff I'm not familiar with, I would like to learn how to play in fellowship and do some instances. I have a busy life, work, wife, kid so I will be online on late hours CET.
What kind of kinship I'm looking for: I'm looking for a kinship with mature people, any age, I don't mind. I'm looking for a medium - light RP kinship (elven kinship a plus) because of language barrier but I will try to do my best. A kinship that helps its members to grow is higly appreciated. Prefer an EU kinship for play time. Last, but not least, a kinship that organizes events, I will partecipate if possible due to my RL duties. I could help lower characters to any quest, skirmish, instances even without getting any loot, I'm not playing for that.
What kind of kinship I'm NOT looking for: People or kinships with names like "$$Daboss$$" or "PoWnZor" similar, that would kill immersion for me. A kinship that forces its members to leveling or to have the best gear possible, I would like to enjoy the game. No raiding kinship.
Hope this is enough, feel free to ask question and thanks for reading :)
Fammi sapere, siamo a disposizione :)

For everyone who's wondering what the hell I wrote above, I was just "advertising" my Italian RP Kinship Aiwenár Rindë.

Re: Looking for a Kinship?
Hi,
We are a fun & friendly kin, with players from the US, EU & Aus... what I like most about Vigilance is that there are no dramas!
If this sounds up your street, check out our website
http://www.vigilancekin.guildlaunch.c om
Elph
Vigilance of Meneldor
We are a Medium sized Kinship in the MMORPG - Lord of the Rings Online. We are a Rank 10 Kinship located on the Meneldor Server. We consider ourselves a Casual Mature Kinship with a focus on end game content. Most of our Members are 20-40 yrs old with lives, families, jobs, kids and real life responsibilities. With that said, we're all here to have a good time and enjoy all aspects LOTRO has to offer. There is never any pressure to play at given times or to complete any specific tasks. We schedule events, but no one is obliged to go. Vigilance is not an elitist kinship.
Vigilance Constitution
- Have fun! We are all here to enjoy our time in game as much as possible. If someone is not enjoying their time as a member of Vigilance they should contact an officer to discuss the situation, whether the problem is another member’s actions/behavior or the kin direction as a whole.
- Loot Smart! Take only what you need unless everyone in the group agrees to open roll and try and keep loot distribution as equitable as possible. Roll only on class items for your own class (unless the required class is not present).
- Guidelines for new recruits: To become a full member of Vigilance, our officers are looking for recruits who are friendly and active. Any recruit is welcome and encouraged to join groups runs appropriate to their level. Grouping with us helps us get to know you and usually fast tracks your promotion. If grouping is not an option (usually the case with low level recruits) then we are looking for someone who both introduces themselves on the kinsite and joins in the in game chat/discussion. Some combination of these factors and 2+ weeks in the kin leads to

Well that's mean "Why choose you and not another player." Shouldn't be that way, but yeah, choose me because I'm very loyal, sweet, friendly, and just want to socialize and make friends :D I'm laid back and casual so you'd love me :P
What kind of kinship you are looking for:
Social, helpful, and talkative. A place I can call my family! I don't have a lot of knowledge about the game and I'm eager to learn!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name: Aglecthon, Champion, level 11
Server: Snowbourn
Gameplay time: Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoons (depending when I can play), so I may not be able to participate to all community events.
Age: 15
Location: Quebec, Canada
Playstyle: I have been playing solo up to date trying to level up a bit, but I really like playing with other players to complete missions, since I have just started playing about a month ago and do not know all the tricks.
Why choose me: I like helping other people while playing, even if I have to abandon my mission for a while to do so.
What kind of kinship I like: I like kinships in which more experienced players pass down there knowledge to the unexperienced ones (like me) and where everyone tries to help everyone else in some fashion.
Please try to contact me in game if possible. If not contact me on forum (name: Agent13).

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I am a lvl 75 Captain, LM, RK and a few lower characters and am looking for a kinship/group of players who are active and participate in Raids,Skirmish,Instances. I play on Gladden and am on all times through-out the day. I am not a kid and want to join a group/kinship with adults.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name: Omeganaut, characters will try to be close to that name while still being origin-appropriate
Server: Undecided.
Gameplay time: Evenings and nights about 8-12 U.S. Atlantic time
Age: College-aged
Location: Virginia, U.S.
Playstyle: I am enjoying simpler classes like Hunter, Guardian, Champion and Captain. The other free classes I've tried weren't as much fun.
Experience: I tried DDO, but left because it was a bad compromise between D&D and MMO. I played Runescape way back. I don't have much experience with MMO's, but I do have lots with solo RPG's
Why choose me: I would love to help with crafting, grouping, and anything else. I wanna experience the best of what this game has to offer, and it always pays off to help and be helped by others.
What kind of kinship I like: A kinship that is okay with F2P-ers, and one that has a lot of active players (if not active on a whole group scale)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Veridir, elf hunter, 75.
Age: 21
Preferred server(s), if any: Vilya
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): Oregon. PST/PDT depending on time of year, but depending on the day of the week, you might find me online at any given time in any given 24 hour period.
Playstyle: Solo thus far, pretty casual (I've been playing off and on since beta, and I only reached level 75 on my first character last week). Looking to learn a bit about PvE, raids and some endgame stuff, but still casual.
MMO games you’ve played: None, really.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm pretty laid back, so I'm not going to get worked up over too many things. I try and be pretty helpful if I'm able to, whether with crafting, quests or anything else.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Looking for one that caters towards casual players. I won't be able to guarantee being online at certain times each week, for instance. Certainly not interested in one that's based purely on endgame or raiding. Looking for one with folks who're willing to help me learn more about the game and MMO's in general. Would prefer a well established group with lots of members. Also looking for some people who know a bit about Tolkien's works, so I can get into lore discussions now and again, as I'm a Tolkienite or whatever we're called these days. :D

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Level 58 hunter elf looking for a kinship to join on the Brandywine server. I am from the USA and in the Central Time Zone. I play daily and am currently located within Lothlorien. Just an FYI, I have gained friend standing with the Galadhrim and have access to Caras Galadhon.
I play the game for enjoyment mostly but I do like the raids and skirmishes. In consideration of the raids and skirmishes I would like the kinship to have a fairly decent amount of lvl 50+ members so that the higher level skirmishes can be done.
Please PM me or send an email here to my profile or in world.
Thank you for your consideration.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Server: Landroval
Name/Race/Class/Level: Adanaranth/Elf/Guardian/49... (Adandarian in my main lvl 50 hunter, I rarely play it anymore)
Age: 30's
Location: Nevada, USA (Pacific time)--mostly evenings and weekends.
Character Profession: Tailor (plus forester and prospector)
Playstyle: Casual,I mostly solo, and have done a couple small fellowships with 1 other person when randomly invited. (Would be interested in other styles, if someone can hold my hand *it's scary out there*)
Why a Kin should be interested in me: I have no idea! I am a nice person, and sometimes I'm funny. I'm laid back and like to chat (and sometimes not). I also like to help other people out when I can with quests or crafting. Pick me, pick me!
Why I'm interested in a kinship: Having people to chat with and do quests and deeds together. I am a fairly new player, maybe about 9 months and this is my first game ever, so I am still learning. I am not looking for a full on lets RP or meet at required times and all that, because I cant commit to being on all the time. I am also not a big fan of the preachy, you aren't doing that "right" types, I'm just here to have fun.
Im usually on in evenings and weekends, but sometimes im not on for days or weeks at a time. I have never participated in a raid or a full on fellowship, and the thought is a little scary but I would love to learn and have others to help out.Basically and easy going fun group, that does stuff and chats would be nice.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Server: Crickhollow
Character: Kicharion, Elf LM, currently lvl 24
Age: 36
Location: USA, Eastern Time. My 'weekend' is Monday and Tuesday, I log on for hours during those days. On other days, I usually only play for short periods of time in the evening.
Char profession: Scholar
Playstyle: awkward ;-) I've never played an MMO before. I love LOTRO and I would like to enjoy the whole experience, including group play, but I am kinda anxious to play a raid, as I have no exp whatsoever. I have joined some fellowships though, when other players asked for help finishing a quest. I am pretty laid back and always willing to help someone out with questing, crafting or whatever.
I am looking for a relaxed, mature kin on the Crickhollow server.

Hey guys. Founder here that is trying to come back. My characters are all on Elendilmir. Been playing since 2007 on and off... Seem to quit when I don't have a good group of people to play with. From memory I have a few different characters scattered accross different levels. I believe my highest is a 64 hunter. Also have a 45ish Warden and 51 Champion, as well as LM. The hunter and champion USED to be capped. In SoA at least!
So, really just looking for a really active group of people. Laid back preferably... like to have fun. I'd like to make some friends to keep me interested in the game and make me stay. I'd also like to do a little end game stuff if I can get my characters up there. Raids, PVP, etc. Not looking for a bunch of drama or kids.
I do have an outside life away from this game, but I do manage to get a fair amount of time in playing. At least 2 hours a day, usually after 10-11PM EST. More on the weekends.
So, just mainly looking for a large, very active kin that has a variety of people... people to level with, and people to do endgame stuff with when I get there! I really hope LOTRO still has a good enough population for this!
The main character I am leveling right now is named Linram. On Elendilmir. Shoot me a tell or mail me.

New Player looking for a kinship and server
I am looking for a kinship to join and be a part of. I am team oriented and would like to find a group that has a website and a calendar of events and uses them. I am stationed in Japan and can show up for events that are scheduled Sun thru Thur from 4pm to 9pm pacific. I am also interested in doing endgame content as a rune keeper with other FUN, mature, reliable Kin once I learn my way through Middle Earth which from all the expansions and maps I've seen on the LOTRO website appears to be pretty large. I just don't know which server to start on.
Thanks in advance

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character: Kemendil, Elf Champion
Age: Late 20s
Server: Snowburn
Location: CET (Spain)
Availability: Mostly weekend warrior (due to job), I use to connect a daily hour or two in the middle of the week.
Playstyle: Instances and Raids; I like deeds and other collections too, solo or group.
What do I offer to kinship: Although where I come from, Withywindle, didn't offer many opportunities for raid instances, I'm a decent geared DPS and Tank. I'm very disciplined when it comes to group play and, the most important thing, I come with a Statue of Draigoch for the Kinship house :P.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm looking for a kinship that's able to call its own raids, but also be able to call non-trendy instances like Annúminas, Great Barrow, Inn of the Forsaken, etc. Jovial and cheerful, yet mature, I'd like that we share items we don't need or have plenty, and craft for free between us. Oh, and I'm looking for an English speaking kinship, I like to know what people are saying when they write, and unfortunately I don't speak many different languages.
Note: I'm going on holiday and will be returning at mid-june, so I'll postpone a decision on kinship until then.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Baarsak Lvl 59 Dwarf Guardian on Laurelin server
Age: 45
Location. GMT +2
I've been playing Lotro since launch on and off. Resubbed again and I see empty lands, made me... well bored.
Thats why you reading this. Need a casual friendly kingship to have fun again. I like solo play but without friends/group
lotro really does not offer much. Love grouping, helping people when I can. I'm not a hardcore player, hate being hardcore !
I can be online anytime, love my home-office job ;) I enjoy crafting, PvE, raid and monster play. A side note, cant RP ! Believe me, I tried but no. So if you're RP kingship, skip to next post now. Well infact you may skip to next post now because i'm done writing =)
Ah by the way, have 3 active alts; cook (33), farmer(26) and scholar(44) (all supreme).
See you in-game...

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hi, longtime gamer but first-time LOTRO player seeks mature and dedicated LOTRO kinship with emphasis on clear communication.
Age: 34
Preferred server(s): Browsing the forums I've heard good things about Landroval, but am open to any.
Location: PDT (GMT -7)
Playstyle: I would prefer to solo at first while I learn the game. It takes me a long time to get tired of even menial content and so while I love endgame play, I'm not likely to lose interest without it. I am definitely RP-friendly!
MMO games you’ve played: Most recently Wakfu (innovative but appears to be dying). Also Fantasy Earth Zero and FFXI. Dabbled in a few others.
Why kinships should be interested in you: I believe in the importance of building community and cultivating communication online as well as off, and in an MMO environment that value is something I hope to help build and contribute, not merely passively enjoy. And I tell awful jokes. And I like to talk about food! And beer. Currently I am F2P but hope to be convinced to plunk down VIP bucks after a thorough test run. I'm a good and reliable fellowship-mate with a solid and speedy connection, and a beast of a little gaming laptop.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: As stated above, communication and organization. Mutual respect. Open-mindedness to new ways of thinking and patience for new players.
Don't have a name or class picked out yet, I have my leanings but would prefer to wait and pick a kinship first, then help fill a need.
Cheers, PM at your leisure and thanks for reading. :D

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Phinisha, Elven Race.
Age: 17
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Eldar.
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): I am GMT (+00:00)
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): I prefer to play in a group, but can solo as well.
MMO games you’ve played: LOTRO, League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I am almost always very cheerful, always up for helping new players and always up for a chat:D
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I am looking for a friendly, helpful kinship.
-
Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Willarm, Hobbit
Age: 16
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Dwarrowdelf
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): Florida, USA. Est. Time Zone
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): RP/Casual. Light PvP
MMO games you’ve played: I've played LOTRO on and off (mostly on) since it was released Ftp (actually got it three days before in a box set, not realizing it was Ftp.) I played Runescape for two years through 4-5th grade (I think I may have turned OFF more people by saying this.) I've also played a little known game called Queville for several years, becoming the co-founder of one of the largest clans as well as a public enemy against THE largest clan. LOTRO is the first MMO of it's genre I've ever played.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a very outgoing and friendly player. I can be very energetic when it comes to advertising the kin. In past kins I have been extremely loyal, being the last player along with one other person in the Legion of Doom after we started going down hill (attempting to recruit more players). After that, I stayed with a second kin, Ursa Clan, for several months until that one fell.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a Casual RP kin that has light PvP. I enjoy the kinmates to be friendly and outgoing, and not at all serious. My dream kin is a full hobbit kin, but I have yet to find one of those. I have thought about starting one up. If you decide to invite me

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Amaltheowyn, Elf Hunter, Level 25
Age: Late 20's
Preferred server(s), if any.: Crickhollow
Location.:USA, Central Time Zone
Playstyle.: I do a lot of solo questing, but wouldn't mind helping out others with their quests or to have someone help me out if I ever needed it. I like to sometimes join a fellowship and do the Great Barrows instance (I'm only in Bree, so that's the only one I've done so far.) I'm semi-new so I'm still learning and trying stuff out. :D
MMO games you’ve played: I tried WoW once. I played AQWorlds for a little bit. I used to play Free Realms before it went downhill, lol. I've played Pirates of the Caribbean Online as well.
Why kinships should be interested in you. What do you offer kinships?: I like to help out whenever I can even though I still don't know much about LotRO.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I will let you know that I am a Christian, so a kinship that has mature players but one that knows how to have fun without being offensive, blasphemous or vulgar is what I'm looking for. I love to give, so I wouldn't mind helping out with quests, instances, or giving away crafting items. I also like working on deeds, so I wouldn't mind helping out others to finish their deeds. I've only completed the skirmish tutorial, so I'm probably not good at that, lol. At least not until I work on it some more. I think I'm more into fellowshipping for instances. I work well solo or in a group. I would like a kinship that makes me feel welcomed. I've been in guilds from other games where I've felt ignored simply because I was new or didn't chat much. It would be disheartening when I would come online and nobody say Hi, but they would to the next person who came online because they "knew" them. Or not even including me into their events. If your going to be a leader of a guild, you should at least acknowledge all members fairly. I don't chat much but sometimes I will chat non-stop lol. Just depends on my mood and what I'm doing in-game at the moment. :) I'm currently level 25, so a kinship that has members of all levels would be great, so that I could help out the low levels, and eventually do mid-high level stuff as well. I also do not want to be a part of a kinship that gets mad if your not online 24/7 or if you decide you don't want to do the event for that week or something. Life happens and it's not always about playing games. :P Well, I guess that's it for now. :)
Thank you and God bless!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I was thinking about possibly getting back into LOTRO.
I have a founder account with a lifetime sub. I have gotten a few characters to max level, done many raids, been in a few kins, made many new friends along the way.
After a while there was a fallout and I have not logged in in over a year. But I am hoping I can start new, re-level and make some new friends.
I'm looking for a mature kin, RP is nice but not necessary. A guilt free 'if I cant make it' type of kin. I am open to any server as I will start from zero anyway. Not looking to join a kin just to grow their numbers or for power leveling, but to socialize, explore and enjoy middle earth with cool peoples..
I am located in Florida, EST time zone. I play when time permits, it can be early mornings, late nights, prevening...Sometimes for long periods, sometimes not. I am a married guy with 2 kids... That should explain it all.
Please send me a PM if you have a kin you think I may fit into
Thanks!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name:
Frankie
Character name:
Thenidiel, Elf, Level 10 Hunter.
(You can call me either.)
Age:
16 (17 in a month).
Preferred server(s):
Firefoot.
Location:
Middlesbrough, United Kingdom, GMT.
Available:
I finish my first year of college in two days so I’ll have plenty of time. I’ve recently downloaded LOTRO on my laptop but I can only last up to an hour without stressing out due to it lagging (my laptop’s a bit ####, ahaha). I also have it downloaded on my home computer and it runs amazingly well on that but my mother also uses it. She has a job that keeps her busy between 10am – 3pm the latest. She’s never on it for ages and I tend to stay awake till about 4am so I’ll be on quite a lot. I also stay at my boyfriend’s for about 5 days the most but he’s going to try and download LOTRO on his computer for me so if that works, all is good. He also plays WoW so it’s not like he’ll be expecting me to sit with him and watch movies. Bit of a gamer couple here.
Playstyle:
I prefer solo when I can’t find any groups but when I can find groups; I prefer them to be around the same level as me. I also like it to be more casual.
MMO games you’ve played:
WoW, Runescape, DDO. (I used to play these, not anymore.)
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Even though I seem young, I’m mature for my age. I do swear but I can stop myself for those who don’t like it. I also don’t stupidly swear like constantly saying the F word in every sentence I say. I don’t start random #### or argue over pathetic things. I’ll treat all other members properly and never insult or say anything bad about them. And I listen well to instructions and I’m not afraid to ask for help if it’s needed.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I'm looking for a kinship where it’s fun yet serious. Too serious ruins it for me and it makes it seem like work instead of a way to escape reality for a while. I’m also looking for one that’s mature but can still have a sense of humour. I don’t like immature people, they annoy me and I can’t work well with them. I do try but it’s very unlikely I’ll survive even an hour with them. And on the humour side, I’m looking for a kinship where you can have a few jokes and banter. I’m British and I’ve pretty much been brought up on banter, so it’s a little hard to just suddenly stop having it. And a kinship where its members help other members out is a definite must have. It’s plain ignorance to not.
There we go. Hope it’s alright. :3

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Name unknown, race elf hunter
Age: when posting this I am 23 XD
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Preferred a ROLEPLAY server...but not sure if you guys have it XD
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): I'm from europe, Holland to be exact, dunno the timezone though...
Playstyle: Definetly a hardcore Roleplayer. But I go solo if I cannot find a good group to grind/quest/instance with.
MMO games you’ve played:Used to play LOTRO a few years back, got interested in SWTOR, Neverwinter Nights.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Well, like I said again, I am a hardcore roleplayer. What I am looking for and offering is Roleplay and fun. I am always helpful (if time willing) and I am also a social bunny so chitchatting is also a good thing of mine ^^
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I am looking for a friendly, social, helpful and of course a Roleplay guild. I am someone who enjoys some good roleplay and I expect the same thing from the guild. I'm a guildie for life once I found the guild that is most suited to what I look from a guild.
so lemme know if interested, if not...well then don't wahaha
peace!

MMO games you’ve played: WoW
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: A fun, laid back, and active person. I enjoy playing the games but I enjoy the socializing aspect of it twice as much. I could go on and elaborate but these 2 sentences sum me up pretty much.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Active and social kinship. One with activities would be nice too. Any sort of ACTIVE kinship would be nice AS LONG AS they speak English.

Two for one deal!
I represent at least 2 players.
We are experienced at LOTRO but are looking to start new characters on new servers for reasons that are our own. We are most interested in any kind of instance play (skirm, classic and mostly raids). We are in the EST (although i will be in CST for some time). We will likely only be able to commit one night a week to the game so we're looking for something long term and casual. Both of us are mature players aged 25 and 26.
We are clever, fun players who are able to follow instructions well and who work well with people. depending on our schedules we may or may not find that we have lots of crafting time. mostly we are interested in getting the most of the game and it's end game content.
This may be edited with further details in the future.
-
Your name, or character name and race: I go by Kaelci and Jallyce, Elf and Human respectively.
Age: I am 25
Preferred server(s): I am currently on Nimrodel, though I don't mind rerolling on another server. I just chose the recommended server when I first logged in. :) I wasn't too sure how the servers worked, if there were specific RP or PVE etcetera servers. If there are specifics, I wouldn't mind joining an RP server. I'm not an RP'er but I prefer that sort of environment.
Location: I am located GMT 10+ in Australia. I don't mind if I'm with US, UK, or whoever though...
Playstyle: I like playing solo, immersing myself in the world of my character. :) I don't mind grouping up but sometimes I feel I'm disadvantaging other people because I actually read the quest things and am a bit slow. I'm not one for raid-type things though, I don't feel confident enough to do that sort of thing. I like finishing allllll the content I possibly can.
MMO games you’ve played: WoW, SWTOR, Aion
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a friendly person!! :)
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a social kinship. I want to meet new people, I want to talk to new people, make new friends in this wonderful game. I'm NOT looking for hardcore kinships that rush rush rush through everything. I'm a bit shy at first when it comes to meeting new people, but as I get to know you all, I'll come out of my shell.

Newbie lf kin on elendilmir
Hi guy's right now im playing a dwarf guardian and im enjoying the game so far but i would really like some ppl to team up with. I'm from city of heroes where a lot of ppl generally team up to lvl so im looking for others who also enjoy the same. I'm 30 years old on the east coast server in the US. I'm a nice guy and i do not use profanity so a kin with ppl who do not would be great. You don't have to be an old fart like me just yah know a mature kin :P Oh and i don't have any expansions yet but i am vip right now. But if i get into the game enough i will eventually buy or use tp to get them. Hope to hear from someone soon! Oh and my guardians name is griam on elendilmir.

Looking for an RP KIN
I'm the type of person that wants to go through the games quests, and RP both in typed chat, and voice chat while doing so, and I was wondering if there are any Kins, or other players that feel the same. I love the world of Middle Earth, and really want to immerse myself in it, along with others. I am on Brandywine, but would transfer if there was a kin that would fit my play style, as i have been looking for a kin like that, for quite some time.

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Asdiel, level 21 elf Hunter
Age: late 30s
Preferred server(s), if any. Vilya
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): GMT -5
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): casual, mostly solo. I don't have a lot of time to play, mostly evenings and weekends. I have a demanding RL job which makes it difficult to adhere to a particular schedule.
MMO games you’ve played: Ultima Online, Everquest, Asheron's Call, Guild Wars, DCUO, Dungeons and Dragons, Star Trek Online, Star Wards Galaxies
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm easy going, friendly, helpful and mature, Geez, it sounds like I'm writing a personal ad. A bad personal ad.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Active, social and casual. As I said above it's difficult for me to adhere to a particular schedule, so I'm not looking for anything that has "mandatory Tuesday night raid" or anything like that. Prefer adults, but just mature is good, too. :)

Well in this case Kinship. I main a healer in most games but havn't quite gotten used to this game enough to try healing.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I need one that's talkative. Pysiren, Super Support needed kinship
Player Type: Female Minstrel Support/ Healer Lvl 20
Server: Arkenstone
Age: 27
Region: Eastern US, online mainly from 10pm-5am EST so some earlier time West Coast kinships would work.
Looking for an active kinship that I can get involved with.
Newer to this game genre, but I'm a serious gamer that learns very fast and spends alot of time online
Recently converted console gamer (FPS, RPG) to PC (LoL, HoN)
Never played WoW for fear of my social life may end, so I may be a little greener than most.
This is my first character I've got to 20 so Skirms and Raids are still a little greek to me.
But regardless, I'm a team player that has common sense and communicates with others.
Until I'm able to upgrade my PC, voice communicate won't be an option.
PM me if you are interested

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Connor, I have a minstrel somewhere called Holroc

Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): I have been everything under the sun but i would say nowadays Casual but I'm fine for raiding once I level up.
MMO games you’ve played: UO, DaoC, EQ2, Planetside, SWG, PotBS, WoW, EvE online, Perpetuum, WAR, Fluff.. I have either played or beta'd most games released in the 2004 if that is any indication.( EvE Recently)

What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Dude i just want a home to hang out and chat with people while I quest and/or do dungeons/instances with friends(hopefully kinsmen)

Your name, or character name and race: Currently no characters.
Age: 19
Preferred server(s), if any: Open to all servers!
Location:Pacific Standard Time (PST)
Playstyle: I prefer group style play but I am known to do the lone wolf thing as well. Lotro's PvMP seems interesting and I wouldn't mind giving it a try. I am limited by my computer for raids, but it should run encounters just fine.
MMO games you’ve played: WoW, Aion, RuneScape, DAOC.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:I have a very bubbly personality and I can bring fun to any group setting with my personal sense of humour. I am a thinker, able to plan out events and raid tactics. I also possess leadership qualities that tend to go on automatic once I am familiar with the people I am around.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm looking for a social kinship that has a goal in mind. I have been in far too many social guilds/clans that just had no purpose and it quickly fell apart. I play the game to have fun and experience it, not to just hangout in a chat room.
-
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Alkavarien, Elf minstrel lvl 43
Age: 20
Preferred server(s), if any.: Silverlode
Location.: I'm on east coast time but it doesn't really matter I guess.
Playstyle.: I really enjoy just questing and exploring. I haven't really gotten hardcore into the details of the game yet, I've been trying skirmishes for the first time in the past month, interested in getting more into crafting and stuff. Would love to make friends who wanna help out with quests or teach me about the minutiae of the game.
MMO games you’ve played: Just LOTRO. For a few years now.
Why kinships should be interested in you.: I am very friendly and a fast learner. If I make friends I will be loyal to them very quickly and helpful whenever possible. I haven't really tried a lot of group play but I would be up for it.
What kind of kinship you are looking for.: I guess I'm not really interested in an end goal, I just want to explore the game and have fun with friends! Something casual, mature and supportive. If anyone is interested in in-game RPing I'd be up for that too.

Character name and race : Janora, female elf Minstrel (level as of post = 35); also two alts for crafting
Age : 26
Preferred server(s), if any : Crickhollow
Location : Central Standard Time (CST), USA; no preference
Playstyle : Solo, group, PvE, RAIDs, casual, crafting, willing to try some RP, socialize
MMO games you’ve played : World of Warcraft (though it’s been a long time ago)
Why kinships should be interested in you. What do you offer kinships? : Eager to be a team player, socialize, and work towards group objectives. I’m focused on being a main healer since my past experience is that there is always a lack of healers. Obviously this game has been out for a while so I know there are experienced players I can learn from too.
What kind of kinship you are looking for : First and for most, a kinship with mature people; I don’t want to deal with whiners and people acting like children, if I did I go spend the afternoon with my niece and nephews, lol. I love the Lord of the Rings story, so I would like to find a kinship that is full of players who appreciate the stories and enjoy the quests and story lines in the game. I’d like to find a kinship that does some fellowship raiding so I can gain some more exp. And I love crafting and finding epic loot!!!

OOC Name: Sarah
IC Name: Reine
Race: Hobbit Minstrel (lvl 10)
Server: Lauralin
Located: USA, Florida. CST
Playstyle: PvE/Medium RP/Casual
MMORPG's I have Played: Diablo, Diablo 2, Guild Wars, WoW, Dungeon Siege, Rose, Conquer, Silk Road, Cabal, Perfect World, FlyFF, NWN, Pirates of the Burning Sea. These are just to name a few, I've played a bunch of others including non RPG games.
What I can offer to a Kinship: I'm not really sure, I can offer my 'sparkling' personality, I've maxed out my farming and love to farm if that helps, I also don't mind switching classes and cooking too. I can literally craft for ages I think it's fun. Only problem is I am very new to this game, I started 2 days ago, and I'm only a level 10. So I'm not going to be very helpful in some areas.
What I want in a Kinship: I'm looking for a fun kinship, nothing too restricted by rules, preferably one that roleplays but isn't going to toss me out if I want to talk to people OOC.

Mainly on Meneldor, but open to starting fresh
Name or character name: Currently leaving this blank, due to fact that i am posting here looking for a new kinship... and quite possibly, a new server. I post this to see what responses I get and to see if any are interested in the same. I have created a recon toon on many servers to scope out the general maturity level, quality of regional chat, etc. to find the RP servers are very nice.
Age: Up there, but not too up there >.<
Location: Arizona, US... my schedule is pretty open lately, and I am intermittently on throughout the day.
Other MMO's: N/A, nada, zilch... this is my first and only MMO ever, and loving it too much to find another. But I have played for nearly one year.
Playstyle: OK, here's where i get to why i am posting here in the first place. Currently, I am in a small, casual kinship where everyone pretty much solo's and does their own thing with an occasional fellow for a tough spot. I levelled a warden to 75 that way... and quite honestly, I look back now and realize how lonely and boring a lot of it was...heh. Don't be mistaken, the people in my kin are great people, and the game itself is awesome, but I am ISO something different. I sort of got stuck in a rut, and went with it.
So, solo... done it. Now I am searching the different servers for a new place to call home. But not just to solo again. I would be willing to roll a new toon to level with another (or more). RP is a possibility, but am a little unsure if it is for me. I love to craft and have enough alts to be self-sufficient... and to help fellow kinmates in need.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: First, I am NOT looking for a kin that is bigger than the Eastern Seaboard. I'd like to be in a kin that is medium-sized, casual, and mature-minded with clean chat... a group of friendly folks that enjoy PvE, crafting, kinship events (skirms, instances, deed-ing, get-togethers, etc.)
Bottom line... I hope to not solo my way to end level again.
Thanks for reading, and hope to hear something soon :)
Happy hunting...

I am looking to join a kinship
My character name is Noahgorn.
Server: Elindylmir
I've been playing for a while but I really need some help on some quests. I consider myself very mature and will be willing to help others whenever I can.
I am a level 19 elf hunter.
Central time zone
Thanks

Looking for Kinship
Character Name: Belgruin (lvl 23 Hunter)
Server: Withywindle
Location: USA, Central time.
Playstyle: I solo most of the time, but I would be happy to join in on quests or help craft items (Woodsman). Since I am a Hunter, I focus on providing ranged support in battle, but I don't mind going hand to hand if necessary. I am a soldier in training, so you can count on me to be a team player.
Kinship I'm looking for: I'm looking for a medium sized kinship that is friendly and helpful, functions like a family, higher ranking players helping newbies, etc. Like I said above, I'm a team player, so I prefer to work with people who can function as an organized team with a team leader and at least a general understanding of tactics and strategy.
You can contact me from here, or IM me in the game (full character name is Belgruin Swiftbow, if that makes a difference).
Hope to find a kinship soon.

MMO's I have played: Star wars the old republic, World of warcraft, Guild wars, Guild wars 2, Aion, Rift
Server: I have a bud that I am going to be playing with I have a level 32 on elendilmir, which seems too be really low on population, I would love a very abundant and active kinship, but that seems to be hard to find with this game, due to its content and age. I will transfer If needed.
Gamestyle: I do everything. Raids, Instances, Role-play, Pvp. I am very chill and need a good group of people to play with.
That's all you really need to know, not listing my life story. Thank you :) Timezone is EST

Playstyle: PvE, PVP, Casual, Skirmishes.

What kind of kinship you are looking for.
I am a mature, experienced MMO player. Been in LOTRO since the beta with 3 lifetime accounts. Went to SWTOR for a bit, but I am looking for a casual, laid back guild that has a strong population and people who play together. I am helpful, patient, and I would love to make a contribution to your guild community.
I am in a guild that I love with a dear friend a leader, but no one is every logged in anymore (we started @ launch). So I would like to put the MM back in my MMORPG experience.
