Riddermark Creep Ventrilo

I implore you to reconsider this. We have a chance to mold Riddermark PvP into something better than we have now. Let Vyxe and his cronies call out solo Freeps on E; let Riddermark be the server where a good solo'er/small group doesn't have to worry about 20 Freeps/Creeps arriving the moment he/she/they engage an opponent.

You read the part of the post where I said if I felt it had negative effects or wasn't supported by the community I'd rip it down, right? Obviously not. No one knows what sort of community we're going to have here. You should know that if we *mold* the community into something *better*, then the idea of solo call outs will exist on a smaller scale with or WITHOUT vent. People seem to forget that OOC is just as universal as vent, which always just as much ./ooc Freeps at GTA type of call outs. I discourage vent call outs for solos, but when I see them on E, most of them are in OOC, and I have to type out another sentence of ./ooc Please don't call out solos, it isn't such a great thing! You know it'll happen regardless if the community of E didn't have vent, right?

Either way, I'll just re-emphasize this.
[a] I'd like to provide both a creep and a freep vent, however I cannot financially support both, nor could I reasonably administrate both while playing separate sides.
[b]If this does start to get used, and abused, I will remove it, but shouldn't that also be everyone elses choice? If we start to get zergy, and people can't just hold their mouths shut, and we gain a negative PvMP arena, I can remove it as well.
[c] PvMP hasn't started, and I'm a wait and see sort of person, no one here can reasonably know what kind of people we're going to have here, and what kind of community will become of those people.
[d] If push comes to shove, and this doesn't work out as a vent PvMP server, I'll probably just open it up as a universal PvE server that everyone playing LoTRO can use if they don't have their own vent or something.
[e] I don't want drama. I've had about all I can take of it and is one of the key reasons I wanted to re-roll on another server. Again, if the community wants and believes that this is going to ruin PvMP before it has even started, I'm hugely amused, but once we get going and find it being dodgy as sin, I'll just shift. If I need to put a cap on members per channel to prevent things I will, but I'd like to give things a go before we start painting pictures of doom and the end of the world. If for nothing else, other than the fact that I like chatting to folks.

On a side note, what would you make different about the same map, with no huge changes? I'm fairly certain it has all been done before in some way, shape or form in regards to the game, and especially in regards to PvMP. I'd love to see more small group action, and you Illy should know that I am generally always in a duo, or small group of some description. The community is what makes this happen. With a bad community, you'll get constant zergs, roflstomps, folks interrupting 1v1s for the sake of it, vent/ooc call outs, etc. At least this is my belief, that this is the way things operate. The original E, Illy before the huge explosions of drama fireworks, before transfers and numerous other things (don't take this as a bash at transfers, it isn't), most folks did not call out solos or smaller groups in OOC or in Ventrilo. With a huge influx of new people, with different ideals about PvMP, the community as a whole changed the way E is, for good or for bad is up to your attitude I suppose.
