Argh. Humphrey Rumming .... such a disgrace to Lore-masters everywhere ;P. I think we already have some lizards as pets. I'm not so sure that I'd want an avanc/eft/cold worm as one, though.

That's a good question. I'll find out when one of my non-LMs get to him.

I've been playing on and off for quite awhile now, and somehow missed the existence of this entire quest line. How does it get started? I read in the wiki that it's an in-game letter (which I'm guessing is long gone since I've logged in multiple times since this started). Is there another way to start the quest line? (Other than asking a GM to reset it).

you start the quest line in Michel delving with Bingo Boffin hes just north of the Vault, but if already did some quest, talk to barter bert just east of the stable master in Michel Delving he tells were bingo is.

Excellent - thanks! I found him and got started with it.

(edit): although, for anyone else looking for this, Bert Bartleby doesn't appear across from the Michel Devling stable until you do the first quest series with Bingo.

I wonder how far Rook from Galtrev and Humfrey Rumming are related ?

Same look, same passion for crawling mobs, same crazyness.

Please tell me the hat rack being a 'small furniture' now instead of a 'thin furniture' is a bug and you're going to fix it soon? It's been in the perfect spot in our kin house all this time, and now today i can't put it back in that same spot.

Just coming to ask the same thing. Had to move stuff around to place it, and know it looks...awkward.

    Yep. Really good episode.

One thing I noticed was the lack of a path showing on the Entwash Vale map crossing over the river (north of Eaworth at the Wodfen) to Oserley. It does show on the Broadacres map just across the way.

Glad you guys warned me; not going to barter mine now until we hear back whether that's intentional.

Agree on the episode, and the comment about the mead halls. Great stuff and a good episode.

I feel like I'm watching one of those two-part TV shows (didn't Seinfeld do a bit on that?) where you sit to watch an episode of TV, and about 10 minutes from the end you start to realize - they're not going to make it! This is going to be continued next week! Almost getting that sense here - we're getting to the end of the series but I feel like there is a lot more story that could happen, and many more places to go...

One of my earliest memories of this phenomenon is actually of the Ralph Bakshi animated movie 'The Lord of the Rings,' where the movie had been going for almost two hours and I became increasingly worried that they were running out of time to do the Stairs, Shelob's Lair, the Choices of Master Samwise, and the rest of my favorite parts from the book -- and sure enough, the movie just stops! Furthermore, the Rankin & Bass 'Return of the King' cartoon picks up after Shelob anyway, so it would be a long time before I finally got to see my girl Shelob on the big screen.

I do hope that you all find the conclusion of 'The Ballad of Bingo Boffin' less frustrating than I found those filmic omissions!

    Smile

I had kind of "lost track" and was merely dragging along since the huge dive in the Misties (on which I had commented many pages ago). But from the Great River (one of the best episode chunks) onward I caught up again and have been enjoying the ballad afresh. Waiting impatiently for the next one to air

I so love those old animated movies

After hearing you reading some of your old session-play scripts during the live stream I have every confidence you will deliver one amazing finale for Bingo's adventures

Thanks again for taking the time and making all this effort in creating 'The Ballad of Bingo Boffin' for us

I just want to say my complaint is that there are more wonderful Bingo Boffin items to barter for than we earn the barter tokens....Just saying maybe the way it is designed but a bit sad.

Given your frustration at that omission, does that mean we'll get to see Shelob on our computer screens in LOTRO?

I'm currently experiencing this phenomenon (since the license is only good until some unknown time next year).

Oh, and Bingo has finally out-leveled us. We gave it a good run, but it's really hard to keep up in the higher levels, even with Hytbold which gives good, regular, and not time consuming XP.

Absolutely no comment about the hat rack? I have enjoyed the journey and happily and excitedly displayed the prized hat rack in our kin house. Now it's broken. We have so very few house decoration slots, only the 'thin furniture' slots are somewhat plentiful, and in the best spot for a hat rack. Now after all this time, all this collecting, all the tokens spent, it's broken and can't be placed in the same spot it's been all along... and you say nothing? Mistake? Bug? Sc.r.ew us all for thinking we could keep it in the same place the whole time?

I say nothing because I don't know the answer. I can check with EdgeCase, but my guess is that the footprint of the hatrack probably got too large to fit in the Thin hooks anymore.
